Lace shawl, also for knitting beginners

This airy, lightweight shawl is especially well suited for anyone who has not yet dared to try a lace knitting project. The pattern consists of only 2 rows that repeat over and over, and I explain and show you everything in great detail—from the stitch pattern to blocking.

Materials:

• 2 x 50 g balls of gradient yarn ("Daphne Lace" or "Lace Top by Lanas
  Stop" or "Schoppel Zauberball Lace 100" or another yarn, also
  solid-colored, with a yardage of approx. 50 g/400 meters
• 1 size 4 circular knitting needle
• 1 size 4 crochet hook and
• pins for blocking the damp shawl.

It is knitted from sock-weight yarn, ideally in two different colors, but of course that’s a matter of taste. The shawl can be knitted in any size, and the yarn requirements will depend on that. Two different lace patterns are used, written out row by row and also shown in knitting charts.
