The little lamb in the picture was crocheted with Phil Douce by Phildar, using only single crochet stitches. At 25 cm, the little lamb is big enough for you to insert a music box. (If you use thinner yarn, it will turn out correspondingly smaller.)
A small tip for working with fluffy yarn: If you use white cotton yarn (e.g., Catania) as a carry-along yarn, you’ll be able to see the stitches better. You can also keep your place well with stitch markers placed every few stitches.

Required skills:
The pattern does not include a beginner’s course. You should already know how to crochet single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet, and treble crochet, as well as chain stitches and slip stitches.

You’ll also need:

• approx. 100 g of yarn (hook size 3–4) in white
• approx. 50 g each in the colors sand & dark red,
• crochet hooks sizes 2.5 and 3.5
• a threading needle and a darning needle
• stuffing
• embroidery floss in black or dark brown and dark red
• 2 safety eyes, size 12 mm; 4 small buttons
