Dear users, dear authors,
there are loud animals, cheeky animals, and animals you simply can’t miss.
But if you’re very quiet and have plenty of patience, with a little luck you might spot a few shy animals. Giving them some time to warm up is a good idea. These animals often have wonderful personalities. They’re also great for supporting shy children.
Get crafting now.

@Authors,
you can share 2–3 patterns here.
Don’t forget to include a link, a picture, and the usual details.

Goldfish are very shy animals. Mine were so shy that they swam away from me. On this bag, they’re now swimming to Australia.

The bag is knitted in rounds, with the fish pattern shown on a knitting chart. You’ll need cotton yarn in two colors, ideally yellow and blue, and a suitable circular knitting needle. The handles are then crocheted, so you’ll also need a crochet hook. A snap fastener serves as the closure.

Bully would love to be a big, strong elephant already, but he’s still small and therefore very shy. He loves the water, but he doesn’t really dare to go in. That’s why he’s wearing his swim ring when he plays with his sailboat.
Bully can be crocheted from fluffy yarn (as shown in the picture) or from acrylic yarn. It’s really easy.
Would you like to have the shy Bully? Then click here!

The little lamb sleeps most of the time, but when it’s awake, it quickly jumps away if you want to pet it.
Crocheted with fluffy yarn, it will be about 25 cm tall. You can even insert a music box with your favorite song. If you use thinner yarn, the lamb will be correspondingly smaller. Only single crochet stitches are used.

This is Hippie; he is so shy that he doesn't move from the spot.
That's why he has made it his job to sit in front of doors and keep them from "slamming shut."
He is made from thick leftover yarn, but other yarns can also simply be held double, so he works up in no time.

Details & pattern are available here

The following skills should be familiar:
  • Magic ring
  • Chain stitches, slip stitches, single crochet, half double crochet
  • Increasing and decreasing stitches
The pattern is illustrated, written without abbreviations, and suitable for beginners.

Mice are naturally a bit shy. But not Mario, the soccer mouse. She’s not only confident, but also fast and nimble. That’s why she loves to dribble circles around her opponents, and you can safely call her a little dribbling champion.

Do you want to crochet a soccer mouse for your son or daughter? Preferably in the colors of their favorite team and with their favorite player’s number?

Then get the pattern here:
