It would be very helpful if your contact information were listed under all of your patterns—in case a problem arises or someone would like to contact you directly.
I completely agree with you on that. That’s information that should be included in every pattern. It doesn’t happen often, but sometimes people have questions and don’t know where to turn.
Sure, you can. But look at it from the customer’s perspective. You have a pattern—some people print it out, some work directly from the screen, and maybe not everyone even remembers where they bought the pattern—and there’s absolutely no indication on the pattern itself of how to contact the designer.
I have a folder at home with printed patterns, and I honestly can’t remember where I got them all from. Let’s say I want to knit one of them now and run into a problem—then I’d expect there to be some information in there about who I can turn to.

Where did I get this pattern? Was it from CP or ...????
It’s a huge help for customers if the author’s email address is listed in the footer of the pattern.... easy to find, quick to write, and done.
No more tedious searching on the computer to figure out which platform it’s from and how to contact the author...
For me, this information is in the footer on every page of the pattern—set it up once, and it’s already there for every new pattern.
It doesn’t take us much time, and it makes things much easier for customers.
I include my contact information in every pattern, including the platform where I can be reached, as well as my website and email address.
That should go without saying if you want to sell your patterns professionally.
Thank you for your responses. It really makes things easier for users when they don’t have to spend a long time searching for contact information, and it certainly doesn’t take much effort on the author’s part!
