Writing a blog post—approval?

I just wrote my very first blog post here on crazypatterns.
A little offbeat and colorful, just like you’d expect from me. Then I submitted the post, and this is what came up:

I totally get that you want to take a look at it first—someone might be posting nonsense, after all. But I was really in the mood to share my thoughts on crochet on Friday night.

Do you actually read the whole thing before approving it? Or just skim over it?

I just cheekily went ahead and made my own blog post there
even though I’m not a seller.
But I can see now that there’s this one article; it seems to be meant as a series.
It’s about sellers and what they can do with their blog.

Can buyers/users/prospective customers still have a blog?

I mean, as a user you can bring up topics in the forum too.
But a blog is still something a bit different.
I can tell from myself: I write my forum posts just the way I’d talk to friends, acquaintances, etc.
Just bluntly, off the cuff, and about whatever happens to interest me at the moment.
But with a blog, I know this from the past—I had my own blog for years, about everyday topics, music, cats, etc.
A blog post somehow makes you question and rethink the whole thing.
You don’t normally just write that completely off the cuff. At least I don’t. But that doesn’t have to be true for everyone.
There are plenty of people who plan their blog posts from start to finish, even without any commercial interests, and coordinate them so they fit the blog concept. And if a topic doesn’t fit, they just start another blog.

Well, what do you want then?
