Some of you may currently have leftover yarn in turquoise (due to the current color promotion ), green , or perhaps even blue . You can use these to create many wonderful handmade projects. Now is the time to work with these ocean-inspired colors .

@Authors:
2–3 patterns per author are sufficient.
Don’t forget to include a link, an image, and the usual details.

Potholder - the crochet classic - wonderfully suitable for using up leftover yarn:

(For purchase/download, please click the image)

This potholder is considered a classic for crochet beginners.

For this you need one 50 g ball of cotton yarn per color for a size 4.0 to 4.5 crochet hook. (Catania/Limone is a thinner yarn - if necessary, crochet it with two strands held together).

The PDF pattern is illustrated, but it is not a crochet course.

The following basic crochet skills are required:
(turning) chain stitch, single crochet and slip stitch

Ocean colors go perfectly with a mermaid. Even Barbie is jumping on the current trend and wants a mermaid outfit. And you only need a little leftover yarn to make it. The mermaid tail is very easy to crochet (perfect for absolute beginners!) and comes together very quickly, so Barbie can make her debut as a mermaid the very same day. Click here for the pattern!

These wrist warmers come in various shades of green and blue. It’s not exactly wrist warmer season right now, but that time will come around again.

You can find the pattern here.

You’ll need a scrap of sock yarn, about 90m should be enough, and 3mm knitting needles. The lace pattern is a lot of fun to knit - it’s not exactly what you’d expect from a traditional lace pattern. A photo tutorial helps with following along, and the pattern also includes a knitting chart.

With its unusual six-cornered design, this potholder is guaranteed to be anything but boring. It would also look great as a coaster.
Simply join the 8 granny squares together, and you’ll have a fantastic coaster.

Size:
  • Side to side: 19 cm
  • Corner to corner: 21 cm

If you’d like the potholder to be a bit larger, you can use slightly thicker yarn and a larger crochet hook. Since I’ve explained everything in great detail, step by step, this pattern is definitely suitable for beginners as well. Materials
  • Catania yarn, 125 m/50 g (4 shades of blue/green, about 10 g each color; black, about 20 g)
  • Crochet hook size 3.0
  • Sewing needle
  • Scissors
What you should already know
  • Chain stitches
  • Single crochet
  • Slip stitches
  • Double crochet (explained in detail)
  • Increases and decreases (explained in detail)
  • Crocheting in rounds
  • Simple sewing

With just a small scrap of cotton, you’re all set.

Here’s a pattern for a bookmark.

A knitted bookmark in a lace pattern that’s a bit reminiscent of leaves. There’s a large knitting chart and also written-out row-by-row instructions, depending on what you prefer. And of course, you can use other colors too—it doesn’t have to be blue.

Whether for a boy or a girl... these moccasins fit every baby!
And as so often: the button sets the trend!

Also an ideal project for using up leftover yarn. Finished in 1–2 hours!

The pattern is designed for a foot length of about 9–10 cm.
However, the included gauge makes it easy to make any size!

You will also find a table for baby and children's shoe sizes (incl. cm measurements) in the pattern.
In addition, the duplicate stitch is explained in detail and illustrated. (owl)

And here is the pattern with more details...
