Crochet Pattern Children's Short-Sleeved Raglan Granny Sweater (Ages 3–12)

The sweater for slightly cooler summer days—or evenings.
I have explained my pattern in great detail, step by step.

Even beginners can crochet this sweater with my pattern.
With the many photos, you can always compare your result directly.
My pattern includes information for sizes 96/104 to 146/152,so for children aged 3 to 12. This beautiful sweater for children is crocheted from the top down and almost in one piece. Thanks to its granny pattern, it is quite airy despite the somewhat thicker yarn.

Materials
  • Pro Lana Joker (turquoise, gray, and white) 50 g/ 87 m yardage, approx. 300–400 g in total
  • Crochet hook 4.0 mm (or as desired)
  • Sewing needle/darning needle
  • Scissors
What is crocheted
  • Chain stitch
  • Slip stitch
  • Single crochet
  • Double crochet
  • crocheting in rounds

Crochet Pattern Cardigan/Jacket Raglan XS/S/M/L/XL

This cardigan is perfect for cool summer days, but also for fall and winter days.
This jacket is crocheted from the top down, making it very easy to adjust individually while crocheting.

Contents of my very detailed pattern
  • Material information
  • calculating the neckline
  • calculating the depth of the neckline
  • Information for sizes XS/S/M/L/XL
  • Color changes
  • Crocheting sleeves
  • Round-by-round explanation
  • many pictures for the description
I used ONline Linie 20 Cora yarn and a 5.0 mm crochet hook.
Thanks to the included gauge you can also easily use other yarn (perhaps a little thinner) and a smaller crochet hook.

What is crocheted
  • chain stitch
  • slip stitch
  • single crochet
  • half double crochet
  • double crochet
  • crab stitches

Have fun, yours Doreen

Something completely different from an “off-the-rack poncho” is the top-down knitted Swoncho Nessa.

What is a Swoncho? A swoncho is the perfect combination of a sweater and a poncho.
Thanks to the knitted-on cuffs, it always fits perfectly and nothing can slip out of place.

The Swoncho Nessa is ideal for cooler early-summer days, such as a June cold snap. If you leave off the collar and knit it with a delicate cotton yarn, you even have a great accessory for summer!

Materials needed:
  • approx. 400 grams of “Lippenbekenntnis” Best of by Schoppel (yardage 420 m / 100 g) or similar yarn with the same yardage
  • circular knitting needle 3.5–4.5 (I recommend an interchangeable cable system, such as Knitpro, because toward the end there will be a great many stitches on the needle and you will need a very long cable)
  • 9 stitch markers (8 for the raglan slopes and one for joining in the round)
  • sewing needle for weaving in the ends
  • measuring tape
  • a piece of scrap yarn for the provisional cast-on
  • crochet hook for the provisional cast-on
  • if needed, a set of double-pointed needles in 3.5–4.5
Skills needed:
  • knit stitches
  • purl stitches
  • yarn overs
  • knitting stitches together
  • increases
  • provisional cast-on
  • short rows
Intermediate difficulty level.

I designed the Swoncho for sizes 40–44, but it can be individually adjusted to any size. You only need to measure the neck circumference, sleeve length, and wrist width.
The pattern is 7 pages long and includes written instructions as well as charts (knitting charts) and a schematic drawing.

A little vest like this is always a great choice. Whether over a dress, over a bodysuit, with shorts, or over a T-shirt, it always looks great. It is worked as a top-down raglan - RVO
The pattern is described in detail. For the stitch pattern, you can work from the knitting chart or follow the
row-by-row instructions.

A hoodie with a cable pattern is a real garment for cool autumn and winter days. The hoodie is crocheted from the top down as a raglan sweater and has no seams.
