Shooting Star + Rainbow

Dear users, dear authors,
in August it’s shooting star season, but you don’t have to wait until then. We have lots of beautiful stars in the shop. We also have the sun and moon.
With a bit of luck, there will be real rainbows offline now and then; anyone who prefers to handcraft rainbows is sure to find pretty patterns, suitable cakes / gradient yarn, or fabric for them.

Crochet Pattern Lace Shawl Airy-Light

Quick and easy, this shawl is crocheted from the center outward. It can be worn in many ways, e.g. as a shoulder shawl / poncho / triangular shawl / neckerchief / scarf / hooded scarf..

Material:
Basically, you can use any yarn you like, with a hook about one to two sizes larger than recommended on the respective ball band. Fine lace yarns are especially recommended for this pattern. 4-ply sock yarn also works well. 


used here :
approx. 80 g Daphne lace yarn (Schoeller+Stahl), 75% virgin wool, 25% polyamide, 50 g – 400 m for needle size 3.0 to 4.0; used here: crochet hook size 4.5, yarn needle for sewing in ends, scissors. Pins for blocking.

The rainbow makes the Noah’s Ark door wreath  beautifully colorful and a real eye-catcher. But there’s so much else to see: so many animals! Kids especially love this, which is why the wreath is a wonderful decoration for a child’s room and a very special gift for a christening or a new baby. The wreath has a diameter of 25 cm; Catania yarn by Schachenmayr was used.
The pattern is very detailed and includes plenty of pictures, so you’ll be able to make it too. You’re sure to have a lot of fun!

You can also create a rainbow from flowers – either by making one flower with several layers in rainbow colors or by fixing many flowers in rainbow colors in the correct order onto a canvas – and just like that, you have a wonderfully colorful and guaranteed one-of-a-kind wall decoration.
 

 
With the pattern, you get template drawings for 3 flower shapes in 5 to 7 sizes each, ranging from approx. 3 to 7.5 cm, as well as circle templates for flower centers. This allows you to make multicolored, multilayered flowers or limit yourself to just one layer and color each. These decorative flowers are very easy to make and are very suitable for craft beginners as well as for crafting with children.

I crocheted the “Smile” pillow in rainbow colors. Of course, you can use any other colors as well. The pillow is perfect for decorating or cuddling—whatever you prefer.
