You can find seashells in winter too, but somehow we tend to associate them more with summer, don’t we? In any case, they make a beautiful decoration for the bathroom or anywhere else you want to add a touch of the seaside.
You don’t have to go to the beach to get these colorful seashells—you can crochet them yourself. Just pick out a few colorful leftover pieces of yarn from your stash, and you’re ready to go!
The pattern shows you how to make 3 different types of seashells that you can crochet in various colors. Everything is explained in great detail, row by row or round by round, so even beginners can follow along easily.

Enjoying a cool fruit cocktail outdoors is wonderfully refreshing in summer temperatures! If only it weren’t for those pesky wasps! With these crocheted glass covers, which you can also use as coasters, you’ll outsmart the wasps, because you can put a straw through the hole in the middle, keeping your drink safe from insects.
The pattern for these fruit coasters is absolutely suitable for beginners, and you only need a few bits of leftover yarn. Get the pattern here!

Potholders 'Es grünt so grün' - Tunisian crochet

(To purchase/download, please click the image)

A touch of fresh spring green as kitchen decor or for real use as a potholder made of 100% cotton – also a useful little gift for all kinds of occasions.

Both the PDF pattern for the potholder and the pattern for the crochet flower(s) are illustrated step by step.

Material
:
For 1 standard-size potholder, 21 cm x 21 cm: 50 g light green + 50 g dark green crochet yarn made of 100% cotton/plant fiber for heat resistance, e.g. Schoeller+Stahl Record 210, 50 g- 90 m, according to the label 16 sts x 24 rows = 10 x 10 cm), so 50 g per color for the Tunisian crochet hook up to max. size 4.5.

For the flower(s), a small leftover of cotton yarn is enough, e.g. Catania (Schachenmayr) or Limone (Schoeller+Stahl), for crochet hook size 2.5 - 3.5.

Please note: heat-resistant cotton yarn (= potholder yarn) is only lightly twisted and therefore difficult to crochet with, especially for beginners, because the yarn splits a lot. So if heat resistance is not that important to you, for example if you do not place a hot pot on the potholder, you can also crochet with a cotton blend yarn, e.g. Pantino by Schoeller+Stahl.

In addition, we need a measuring tape, scissors, and a yarn needle for weaving in ends

General crochet skills are sufficient; the Tunisian crochet technique is explained with pictures.

This paper flower bouquet with its sunny colors is perfect for summer! And if you make these flowers now, you’ll be preserving the sunlight that will brighten your home even in winter.

These paper flowers are made from cardstock and crepe paper and are about 30–33 cm tall. Templates for two flower sizes are included. Even if you’re new to crafting, you can easily recreate these flowers.

On long summer evenings, you probably also like spending more time outside in the garden, on the patio, or on the balcony. With a nicely decorated tea light, you can make this time even more beautiful and cozy.

The tea light holder is made from photo cardstock and is approx. 13 cm in diameter. It is easy to craft and also very well suited for beginners.
