Dear users, dear authors,
happy Wednesday :- ) Today is a good day. I hope you have sunshine in the sky and a sunny disposition too.
How’s your crafting going in these temperatures?
Let me know. How about a polar bear craft project to cool off?
It’s never too hot to do some crafting. You just have to keep the pieces small so they don’t end up lying against you and making you feel hot right away.
And nothing too tricky with complicated patterns, so you can easily take it with you when you go swimming.
Larger pieces are fine too, but more in the evening.
Well, I’m totally sluggish and unmotivated right now. Everything’s going very slowly. Every now and then, I slip away to the woods or the lake without my knitting. I manage to get a little bit done, but usually not until the evening.
I just worked out a counted pattern on the computer, and now it’s waiting to be made/tested.
It was good timing, since a thunderstorm just passed through. Now the sun is slowly coming out again. But it’s still humid at just under 30 °C. Now I’m going to take a breeeeak..
Oh no, virgin wool just doesn’t work for me in this heat. I’ve opted for some nice cotton yarn and am crocheting. I’m retreating to a corner of the garden where I can sit in the shade under some big trees. I’m not crafting as much as usual, but I’m still getting a little crochet done.
I don’t know about you, but I always have a hard time concentrating in this kind of heat. Right now, I’m really struggling to come up with decent topics for promotional threads.
Don’t be surprised if there are a few weird topics mixed in today. :-)
Well, the temperatures here are pleasant. They’re not going above 20 degrees right now. So crocheting outside is no problem, and you don’t break a sweat so quickly.
Although it could definitely be warmer. Especially since strawberry season has just started here in Norway—I tried the first ones today. Mmm, with some delicious cream.
Right now, I’m spending my free time working on my fairy house in the garden in the afternoons. It’s nice and cool in the shade, and in the evenings I’m crocheting a shirt for my daughter out of lovely, cool bamboo yarn. It’s wonderfully soft and smooth—and doesn’t make my hands sweat :)
