Lenny and Leana Lion Crochet Pattern

Hello, everyone! Our names are Lenny and Leana, and we belong to the extremely rare breed of floppy lions. We’re about 17 cm tall when sitting and 30 cm long including our legs. We’re really very cuddly, house-trained, and tame :-). Our mom says we’re easy to crochet and therefore suitable for beginners. You should know how to: work single crochet stitches, increase and decrease single crochet stitches, sew on individual parts, make slip stitches, and create a magic ring. What you’ll need:

• Approx. 60g of yarn in yellow/beige or orange, depending on what color you want your lions to be. My boy is made with Schoeller Stahl’s Zimba Medium in color 0218. The girl is also made with Schoeller Stahl’s Zimba Medium in color 0022. The yarn recommends using a 3.5mm crochet hook, but I crocheted with a 3mm hook.
• Leftover white yarn for the cheeks and the belly. This leftover yarn should also be suitable for a 3mm hook
• Approx. 20 g of yarn for the mane; I used “fringe yarn” from the Schachenmayr “Brazilia” line, color 1027, lot 2206.
• Yarn for the nose and mouth, as well as a thin black thread for the eyebrows and the dots on the cheeks.
• 3mm crochet hook
• stuffing
• Darning needle and scissors
• 10mm safety eyes
• Pins to hold the limbs in place while sewing them on
• stitch markers

Difficulty level: Easy, suitable for beginners. However, you should already have experience working in spiral rounds and have a basic understanding of crochet.

Freddy the Piglet with a Heart Crochet Pattern

Cute little Freddy the Piglet wants you to crochet him!! With his enchanting gaze and his long, lanky legs, he’s simply irresistible! Freddy is about 20 cm tall (including ears); the heart is about 6 cm tall and about 7 cm wide (at its widest point). His “dangly legs” can move in all directions, so he can sit perfectly on any table edge or corner. What you’ll need:

• A 3 mm crochet hook
• Approx. 60 g of pink yarn (I used Schachenmayr “Universa”) suitable for a 3 mm crochet hook. Approx. 15 g of white/cream-colored yarn for the feet and arms, also suitable for a 3 mm crochet hook. Black thread for the face.
• A darning needle, and possibly some pins to help you sew the individual limbs on more precisely at the end.
• Stuffing/craft stuffing
• 8 mm safety eyes
• Scissors
• For the little heart, you’ll also need red yarn (100% cotton), which should also be suitable for a 3 mm crochet hook

Difficulty: Easy, suitable for beginners. The pattern uses only single crochet stitches. You should be comfortable making a magic ring, crocheting single crochet stitches, and increasing and decreasing stitches. Freddy is perfect for beginners!

Crochet pattern "Lion & Mouse - fabulous friends" edge sitters



Do you know the fable of the lion and the mouse? It tells how the little mouse saves the great lion's life after he spared her life and did not eat her. In my version of the story, the two became really close friends afterward, even though they look so different on the outside.

 

This crochet pattern explains over 11 pages, with lots of pictures and detailed descriptions, how you can crochet the two heavily stuffed edge sitters yourself. Due to its scope, the pattern is better suited for experienced crocheters. With cotton yarn and a size 2.5 crochet hook, the lion will be approx. 19 cm tall and the mouse approx. 10 cm tall (each without legs).

Crochet pattern "Tomcats Eddy & Freddy" bookends



May I introduce them? The two little tomcats Eddy and Freddy, two cheeky furballs who don't just make great decorations: thanks to their size and the heavy filling material in their bellies, they are heavy enough to support a row of books or a door.

Just a few minutes ago, the Funny Bird fluttered into my shop. Thanks to his plump little bird butt, he can perch wonderfully on the edges of armchairs, sofas, and cabinets—or on branches. Of course, he especially likes that (as long as it doesn’t rain). He is about 15 cm tall, but knitted with 4-ply sock yarn, he will be smaller.

Gnome ZONKO is simply on vacation outside the Christmas season and likes to make himself comfortable in boxes, crates, and flower pots.... During Advent he gets busy, bakes cookies, decorates the home for Christmas, and gets up to all sorts of mischief! He is knitted with 4-ply sock yarns and "Mille Colori Baby" by Lang; then he is about 55 cm long from the tips of his toes to the top of his pointed hat. With thicker yarns, he will be larger accordingly!
