Crochet pattern for Christmas decor / star / flower

Not just for Christmas—with a different yarn, these “flowers” are suitable all year round.

The decorative piece consists of two parts, each of which can also be used on its own.
Finished size with the yarn listed below: approx. 7 cm in diameter.

The PDF pattern is richly illustrated.

All you need is a leftover yarn of approx. 10 g of a metallic yarn, e.g. used here: Nora Madeira, 25 g – 100 m, 80% viscose, 20% metallized polyester for crochet hook size 2.5 - 3.0. However, any yarn of your choice can also be used with the matching crochet hook size. The size of the finished piece will then change according to the yarn.
You will also need a size 2.5 crochet hook, scissors, and a yarn needle.

These crochet skills are required:
chain stitches, single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet, treble crochet, slip stitches, crocheting in rows, and crocheting in rounds. The pattern includes link tips for crochet techniques.

It’s knitted from cotton yarn (140m/50g) and features a slip stitch pattern that really showcases the two colors used.
The pattern is written out row by row and also presented on a knitting chart.
