Elephant Egg Cozies Crochet Pattern
Click here to go directly to the crochet pattern

Brighten up your breakfast table with these truly unique and original elephant egg cozies! They’re absolute eye-catchers and turn every breakfast into an experience. They’re very quick to crochet and make great gifts. This pattern is also perfect for beginners. You should know how to:
  • Making a magic ring and crocheting in spiral rounds
  • Single crochet
  • Sewing the individual pieces together
  • So you should be familiar with the basics of crochet ;-)
What you’ll need:
  • Approx. 15g of yarn (preferably 100% cotton, which will make the egg cozies nice and sturdy) in light blue or gray, depending on what color you want your elephant to be. The yarn should be suitable for a 3mm crochet hook
  • Leftover yarn in white or cream for the tusks. These scraps should be suitable for a 2mm crochet hook
  • 3mm and 2mm crochet hooks
  • Googly eyes and superglue
  • Scissors and darning needle
  • stitch marker

This cute little elephant is a finger puppet and measures about 9 cm. You can crochet it using just a few grams of cotton, and since it only requires single crochet stitches, the pattern is suitable even for beginners.

Download the pattern now , and you’ll also get the patterns for its finger puppet friends: the slender giraffe and the snappy crocodile! The three of them are inseparable and love to play together in the jungle.

Emilio the Elephant, with his big, round eyes, is a cuddly companion.

Emilio the Elephant measures 31 cm from the tip of his trunk to the sole of his hind feet when made using the specified materials. I personally recommend cotton yarn for making all of my cuddly toys.

The pattern includes many step-by-step photos that make it easier to follow. However, basic crochet knowledge (single crochet, spiral rounds, increases and decreases, etc.) is required.

Crochet pattern “Schnullifant” by Diana’s kleiner Häkelshop

The little elephant with his diaper and pacifier around his neck is simply adorable.

Cotton yarn was used here, such as Schachenmayr Catania, Gründl Cotton Quick Uni, Katja Capri, or Limone by Schöller & Stahl. You can use any cotton yarn with a length of 125 m per 50 g, or of course your favorite yarn. The size may vary depending on the type and weight of the yarn.

The elephant is approximately 22 cm tall.

You’ll also need the following basic materials:
  • Crochet hook size 2.0
  • 2 black half-beads, 10 mm
  • stuffing
  • Scissors
  • Stitch markers and a row counter
  • White sewing thread
  • Hot glue gun
  • Sewing supplies
The pattern is 33 pages long and includes many pictures that guide you step by step to success. Thanks to the detailed descriptions, my patterns are also very well suited for beginners.
