These crochet skills are sufficient:

Materials :
Basically, any yarn of your choice with a matching hook size can be used;
it’s especially wonderful for thin yarns, lace yarns, and
gradient yarns (e.g., Bobbel).

For the size crocheted here, I used: a total of approx. 350 g
of Limone/Catania cotton yarn, 100% cotton, 50 g – 125 m, color choice
is up to you; here, 8 colors (partly using up leftover yarn); according to the label, for
hook sizes 2.5–3.5; used here: crochet hook size 3.5.
We’ll also need: a yarn needle for weaving in ends, scissors. Stitch markers
are helpful for beginners, and pins for blocking.

For this triangular shawl for all seasons, you can basically use any yarn you like – the thinner, the more elegant. Size: any.

For the size shown here, approx. 70 cm x 162 cm, I used 350 g of
Schachenmayr Cotton Bamboo, 50 g – 120 m, needle size according to the label 3 –
4, here crocheted with a 4.0 mm crochet hook. I would not recommend thicker yarn for visual
reasons. I decided for myself not to
block the shawl, because then the curves of the shell pattern stand out better – 
but that is a matter of taste.

These crochet skills are required:
chain stitches, single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet, front post double crochet (explained).

The PDF pattern is illustrated over 15 pages, but it is not a crochet course. A link/video tip for a crochet course, among other things, is included.

The PDF contains 

• in the first part, a detailed pattern with corresponding illustrations,
• in the second part, a shorter version, also illustrated, and
• last but not least, a scarf/shawl variant in short form.

Here I’m presenting three of my most beautiful patterns for triangular shawls.

Number 1: Tausendschön
This beautiful crocheted shawl stands out thanks to its diagonal pattern and the border made up of lots of little flowers. 
They also give the shawl its name - Tausendschön.




Because of its slightly asymmetrical shape, it can be worn in many different ways.
The shawl can be crocheted in many yarn weights. The size can also be varied freely.

Materials needed:

• approx. 1500 meters of 3- to 4-ply yarn (e.g. lace yarn, gradient cake, or sock yarn)
• crochet hook size 3–4
• sewing needle
• scissors
• kitchen scale (to calculate the amount used)
• optionally, a little spray starch

Skills needed:

• chain stitches
• slip stitches
• single crochet stitches
• double crochet stitches
• crocheting stitches together




A photo tutorial shows how the little flowers are crocheted.
Finished measurements: approx. 184 x 90 cm (but it can also be made smaller or larger).

The pattern is 12 pages long and includes written instructions as well as crochet charts, a schematic drawing, and a photo tutorial.

Number 2 is a true classic among knitting patterns: the pattern for the neckerchief Minas Tirith.

 

Minas Tirith is a beautiful triangular shawl in a slightly asymmetrical shape, knitted from one tip to the other.
The striking leafy vine makes the shawl an absolute eye-catcher, which can be enhanced even more by adding tassels.

Required materials:

• approx. 700 - 900 meters of yarn in sock yarn weight (approx. 150 – 250 grams)
• circular knitting needle size 3 - 4.0 mm
• sewing needle
• stitch markers
• cable needle, if needed
• beads for the tassels, if desired

Required skills:

• knit stitches
• purl stitches
• yarn overs
• knitting stitches together
• knitting cables
• reading charts (knitting charts)
