what can I do here if I paid for a pattern and found out it’s full of errors? I’ve already written to the person, but I haven’t received any feedback, let alone any response at all.
I think it’s a bit of a shame to pay money for something I can’t use.
Hi Lung86,
welcome to our forum and portal.
It’s a real shame that you can’t use the pattern you purchased because it contains errors. May I ask when you contacted the seller? Perhaps the seller isn’t at their computer right now but will respond later today.
Which pattern are we talking about? Maybe we can help here in the forum, too.
Best regards, Mod Josefa
It’s too bad the pattern seems to be flawed, and when you don’t get help right away, it’s easy to get frustrated. I understand you only too well ;o)
I also think you should wait another day or two to see if the designer gets in touch after all.
Unlike Josefa, however, I don’t think the contents of the pattern should be discussed here in the forum. My next step in your situation would be, after two to three days without a response, to write to Crazypatterns
and ask them to provide the designer’s email address. I don’t think it’s included in the pattern; otherwise, you would probably already have sent her — or him, of course — an email, right?
One more idea: every designer is required to include a legal notice. Many also include an email address there.
that really shouldn’t happen, and it’s really frustrating when you can’t continue.
I’d also suggest, as Melle mentioned, trying to contact Crazypatterns
regarding the email address (if it’s not listed in the pattern)
and being patient. In my case, I don’t receive an email from CP when I get a message there. And if I don’t check it for a few days, it might take a few days before I reply.
@Melle: I’m afraid there’s no legal requirement to include an “Impressum” (legal notice), unfortunately, in my opinion. Otherwise, there wouldn’t still be so many shops without one.
As a German shop operator, you’re at least required to do so as soon as you run the shop commercially (which applies to everyone here); this is one of the main grounds for cease-and-desist letters, which is how lawyers make their money.
