It may not be quite the right weather for it at the moment, but next winter is sure to come, and this knitted scarf in doubleface technique will definitely keep you busy for a while :-)
It has dots, lots and lots of dots.

You can find the pattern here.

As I said, doubleface—not very easy, but it looks so great! The colors are mirrored on the opposite side; what is dark on one side is light on the other.
For this you need a rather thin wool-blend yarn (yardage 150 m per 50 g) in two different colors, 300 meters of each color. It is knitted with 3 mm needles.
The pattern is made up of several motifs that mirror after the halfway point. They are all shown in knitting charts.

This potholder features stripes in double-face technique. As a little extra, hearts are knitted into the stripes as well.

Here’s the pattern.

You’ll need cotton in two different colors, about 45 meters of each color. Not suitable for knitting beginners, but perhaps as a starter project for double-face knitting.

Giraffe Peppi

This is warmth, this is sunshine, this is a smile on your face :-)  When it comes to stripes and dots, most people probably think of clothing. I immediately thought of Peppi ;-) Dots worked in a cute way. Or dots with a giraffe underneath.

The giraffe is made with fine crochet thread and will be approx. 27 cm tall. Hook size No. 2 - 2.5 is suitable. A little stuffing, 2 eyes, and a blunt needle. If you like crocheting with thicker yarn, the neck will get a bit tricky. But Peppi also cuts a fine figure as a floppy toy. At least that’s what my neighbor’s little girl says ;-) Magic ring, single crochet, and increases and decreases. With approx. 35 - 40 g of yarn, the giraffe will be finished very quickly and can move into your home :-)

Have fun crocheting :-)

How about this great, colorful striped and sturdy bag?
Just pop around the corner to the nearest kiosk and pick up a few little things for the next barbecue evening. Nothing could be easier with this bag.

When using ONline Montego yarn
and a 6.0 crochet hook, the bag will be about 30 cm wide and 20 cm tall. It would surely look great in many other colors, too.

Total yarn required: 290 g
  • Light green 60 g
  • Dark green 60 g
  • White 70 g
  • Blue 110 g
What material did I use?
  • ONline Montego (4 colors) 100 g/100 m LL
  • 6.0 crochet hook
  • Scissors
  • Sewing needle/darning needle
The bag is crocheted exclusively in single crochet stitches.
That makes it great for beginners too, since no complicated patterns are crocheted.

And here is the pattern

Yours, Dorigurumi

Casual and trendy shoulder bag in natural tones

This casual bag is the ideal companion for summer!
Elegant in natural tones, classic and casual in shape, it goes with almost any leisure outfit and is a
real eye-catcher.

With this special stitch, it is possible to crochet in rounds without shifting,
creating the ideal base for embroidery motifs.

In the photos, you can see the embroidered front and the non-embroidered
back. Of course, you can embroider both sides or leave the
bag “plain” — just as you like.

Material:Schachenmayr Boston Sun (LL 100 m/100 g) in Natural (col. 02) and Linen (col. 05), 300 g each

striped espadrilles for babies are an absolute hit!

they are very easy to knit,
you work with knit and purl stitches,

everything is explained perfectly in the simple pattern, so that even
the knitting is a lot of fun!

here is the pattern:    Espadrilles for Babies

with this wonderful triangular shawl, the gradient cotton creates the stripes automatically,

the knitting pattern for it is very easy,

you knit knit and purl stitches, as well as yarn overs,
you later drop the yarn overs again,

so it’s quick and easy to knit,

here is the pattern for it: airy triangular shawl

Things aren’t always what they seem. The triangle pattern on this knitted infinity scarf in double-face technique includes an optical illusion.

Despite its two layers, it is lightweight because it is knitted from sock yarn. You should have a little practice with the technique. For materials, you’ll need about 260 m of sock yarn in two different colors.
Apart from the stimulating pattern, one special feature is that the infinity scarf can be worn on both sides. The colors are simply mirrored on the opposite side.
The pattern (shown in knitting charts) can also be used very well for a scarf. For that, however, you should plan on using more yarn.

Stripes, polka dots, and pretty patterns can all be found on my new shawl.
Some emerge naturally from the gorgeous gradient yarn, while others are knitted in.
Not only does it all look great, but it also makes knitting fun and keeps things interesting.

The pattern is nowhere near as complicated as it looks; even my test knitters have confirmed that it’s absolutely simple and beginner-friendly—and it creates a stunning visual effect.

So grab your needles—all you need is one skein of gradient yarn (at least 900 meters long) and a matching knitting needle.

You can find the pattern here:

This gift bag in fresh green is just right for all spring and early-summer gifts! The glued-on dots and the delicate bows on both sides give the bag a cheerful, playful look and put you in a good mood just by looking at it. The bag is roomy and sturdy, so it can even hold larger gifts with a bit of weight.

This gift bag is made from photo cardstock and measures approx. 18 x 30 x 22 cm. With a little crafting experience, it is quick and easy to make.

I love stars, whether knitted or, as shown here, crocheted

HARLEKIN

The color gradient comes from a trendy yarn cake, which eliminates the hassle of weaving in ends.

This pattern was created in response to customer requests for anyone who would like an Asteria but can’t knit.

You simply crochet in rounds and let the color gradient work its magic. In the end, you only need to weave in the starting and ending yarn tails.

What skills do you need?
  • Chain stitches
  • Single crochet
  • Double crochet
  • Decreases or crocheting stitches together
  • Post double crochet
The basic techniques listed are not explained in the pattern.

Here’s what’s included: •Suitable for beginners •Recommended from size 74/86 •Can be expanded up to adult XXL

You’ll need the following materials at home: •1 ball of 1200 m, 4-ply yarn from Garnstube •Alternatively, sock yarn or lace yarn •3.5 mm and 6 mm crochet hooks •1 stitch marker •Scissors •Yarn needle

For the Harlequin, I was referring to ASTERIA.
Asteria is the knitted version of the poncho.

The pattern is an easy beginner’s project. The shape of the five points is created through skillful increases and decreases.

The project can be knitted in sizes from 12 months up to adult. Only the required yarn yardage changes.

The adjusted stitch distribution for a different gauge or yarn is easy to calculate.

• Formulas for calculating other sizes are included in the pattern

What do you need to know? • Casting on • Knit and purl stitches • kfb (knit-front-back) increase • Knitting stitches together • Binding off

The basic techniques listed are not explained in the pattern.

(To purchase/download, please click the image)

Stripes are totally on trend. With a top underneath this comfortable-to-wear cotton short-sleeved cardigan, you’ll be wonderfully dressed both at work and in your free time. And if it gets a bit cooler, you can also wear a thin turtleneck underneath.

The PDF pattern is illustrated across 23 pages.

These knitting skills are needed:
casting on stitches, knit and purl stitches, knitting stitches together, yarn over, emphasized decreases, and increases from the strand between stitches (explained with illustrations).

Difficulty level: intermediate

We need
in total for sizes S to L approx. 450 g Catania (Schachenmayr) or Limone (Schoeller+Stahl), 100% mercerized cotton, label information: 50 g – 125 m yardage, needle size 2.5 – 3.5, 26 sts x 36 rows = 10 x 10 cm with the following color distribution:

  • Blue 100 g
  • White 100 g
  • Dark green 150 g
  • Light green 100 g
Depending on the size, more or less leftover yarn will remain from each skein.

Used here: knitting needle size 3.5, 3 stitch holders and 1 cable for holding stitches, stitch markers and row counter (not absolutely necessary), pins for blocking, measuring tape, scissors, yarn needle for weaving in ends.

Colorful stripes make you happy! And these are also extremely practical! Color after color is lined up around a standard 5-liter plastic bucket. In the end, you’ll have this great and practical craft bucket. It offers space for lots of craft tools, which you can store in compartments around the outside of the bucket. Your current crochet project goes inside the bucket. This way you always have everything you need together—and you’re mobile, too. With the bucket, you can settle down anywhere and start crocheting right away. The yarn is protected inside the bucket, and you won’t be missing any tools.

The crochet pattern is also very suitable for crochet beginners. We crochet chain stitches, single crochet, slip stitches, and treble crochet stitches. I show and describe everything in full detail and step by step over 17 pages. Pick out your favorite colors, and then let’s
begin! It’s a lot of fun and very easy to crochet.Materials:
  • a total of 220 g “Lisa Premium” by Gründl or “Bravo Original” by Schachenmayr (length 133 m/50 g), or colorful leftover yarn in this weight
  • Round 5-liter plastic bucket (height up to 20 cm)
  • 3.5 mm crochet hook
  • Needle, scissors, measuring tape
I hope you have lots of fun making it.Best wishes - yours, Ina
