This fun egg cozy brings good cheer and is quick to crochet from leftover yarn. The pattern is written without abbreviations and is easy for beginners to understand, too.

All you need for it is a bit of cotton yarn (about 20 m), knitting needles, and 1 hour of time. A knitting chart helps with the lace pattern.

Funny egg cozies for Father's Day too! Plus, an ideal way to use up leftover yarn.

Quick and easy to knit in one TV evening, they make a last-minute gift for any occasion.

Basic knitting skills are enough. 
We knit in rounds with a set of double-pointed needles. Embellishments are possible as desired and according to your own creativity.

Material:
Basically, you can use any yarn with a slightly smaller needle size than stated on the label.

1 egg cozy: approx. 10 g – 15 g yarn (leftover) + bits of leftover yarn for decorating;
here: set of double-pointed needles size 4.0 and crochet hook approx. 3.0 for “knotting in the hair”;
yarn needle for weaving in ends, sewing needle and buttons if needed, tape measure, scissors.
Recommendation: safety eyes if the egg cozies are used as amigurumi for small children.

10–20 g of leftover wool/yarn, the right crochet hook (size 2–3), a little stuffing, and optionally two small eyes if you do not want to embroider them on. Chain stitches, single crochet, increases and decreases. Then the charm is practically finished :-) Anyone who has crocheted occasionally will enjoy this dog.
