Dear users, dear authors,
How are your UFOs and leftover yarn coming along?

I was able to finish three PiAs over the weekend. The others will unfortunately have to wait a little longer.

They’re not doing so well. They’re just lying there. Then I try something on the knitting machine, but it won’t do what I want. And writing patterns isn’t much fun either. Knitting outside every now and then is the most fun right now—smile—but I’m afraid a few more UFOs will be added to the pile.

My leftover yarn keeps multiplying at an incredible rate... somehow I always end up starting a new skein...

But on the other hand, I don’t really have any UFOs. I do have one project in the works, but I’m working on it diligently :)

I don’t have any UFOs in that sense—my “UFOs” are dummies or other craft samples lying around, waiting until I get around to putting them into practice, or correcting them and then testing them again. I’d like to take this opportunity to show you what one of my dummies looks like:

As you can see, I use printer paper that’s already been printed on both sides for my dummies—I use old documents, advertisements,
and the like: anything in A4 format ends up in my printer sooner or later, and usually more than once :- )

Oh dear, the leftover yarn :-) They’re doing fine—they’re multiplying.

I actually wanted to use up my yarn stash (not just the leftovers), but unfortunately it isn’t enough for the projects I’d planned, so I have to buy more yarn after all… At least covering a few clothes hangers with crochet has freed up a bit of space among the yarn balls! And the UFOs are still blissfully dreaming away, since there are new, exciting patterns out there that a woman just has to make right away—after all, birthday gifts are supposed to be hand-knitted or crocheted.

My UFOs are neatly packed away where they don’t immediately catch your eye. I got a surprise invitation to a birthday party on Sunday. It’s next Sunday, so I’ll whip up a little gift to bring.
And then I’d much rather start a new project than rouse the UFOs from their slumber....

Leftover yarn—well, they’ve decided to take over my life. They’re everywhere; I often feel like I’m surrounded!! I do have a designated spot for them—in the box that won’t close anymore. So I’ve already stashed some in the couch drawer, but that’s full now, too. The rest are lurking on the living room table, waiting for me to finally use them up or put them away.

I haven’t seen the donation request from the kindergarten saying they need leftover yarn again. Since my two kids started school, I hardly ever get there anymore. And I know from experience that they won’t be asking for it again until fall.
