Dear users, dear designers,
yellow and orange and red bring to mind a sunset or sunrise, blazing fire or, fitting for the season, the (soon-to-come ) summer:
Ripe peaches, juicy nectarines, delicate raspberries, blackberries, dark red ripe cherries, bright red tomatoes from your own garden or from the balcony, sweet plums, tart damsons - that tastes like summer and makes you look forward to sunny and warm outdoor time. When fall approaches, red-and-yellow apples fresh from the tree are a treat. They’re also popular in apple pie with cinnamon.

• Approx. 20 g of yarn for the lion's mane (I used eyelash yarn, but it also works great with normal leftover yarn).

This bag is yellow-orange like Caribbean fruits, with a hint of the Caribbean Sea. The ideal companion for a trip to the market, to carry the treasures of summer home.
The bag is knitted from cotton. The pattern is created using slipped stitches, which are easy to knit. A picot edge finishes off the top.
You’ll need: cotton yarn in two colors (LL 69m/50g), 2 skeins of the main color and 1 skein of the contrasting color, a 5 mm circular needle, and a stitch marker.

A shawl in bright orange really makes an impression. A radiant summer color, but also a great contrast to the "little black dress" in the evening when you're going out somewhere nice.
It is an elongated, rectangular stole that is knitted in lace and cable patterns. It is worked lengthwise, which has the advantage that you can simply stop when you have reached the desired width or notice that you are running out of yarn.
The original in the picture is knitted from merino wool (yardage 105 m per 50 g), needle size 4. Of course, you can also use other yarns and other colors.

All-season beanie knitted from sock yarn

For this feather-light, easy-to-knit all-season beanie, which is made with knitting needles in various sizes (the brim with needles size 3.5, the main part with needles size 6.0, the decreases with 4.5 and 4.0) and, for the decoration, with a crochet hook size 3.0 - 4.0, 70 g   6-ply sock yarn is enough,

but 1 ball usually has 150 g. So from the leftover yarn you can easily knit a small cowl or even 1 pair of socks up to shoe size 36/37 :-) With colorful sock yarn, the color gradient appears automatically.

Lace shoulder shawl/scarf - easy - knitted

A feather-light lace shawl (yarn: 150 g Austermann Caleido Lace for approx. 42 cm x 112 cm) in an easy lace pattern, which can be worn as a shoulder shawl, scarf, or even as a hooded scarf. The length is variable.

Basic knitting skills (casting on stitches, knit and purl stitches, edge stitches, yarn overs / knitting together, binding off) are enough for this easy lace pattern.

This versatile loop scarf (wrapped twice around the neck) is knitted in the round from 6-ply sock yarn, using the same yarn as the “All-Season Beanie.”


The PDF pattern includes photos, but it is not a basic knitting course.

General knitting skills are required.

150 g 6-ply sock yarn, here Austermann Sockenwolle Step 6 (= 6-ply) with aloe vera and jojoba oil, (75% virgin wool, 25% acrylic, 150 g = 375 m yardage, according to the ball band knitting needles size 3–4;
gauge according to the ball band: 23 sts x 31 rows = 10 x 10 cm); stitch marker, measuring tape, scissors, yarn needle for weaving in; used here: circular knitting needle size 6.0 (cable length at least 80 cm, more comfortable: 100 cm);

By the way: for sizes L–XL, the “bolero” fits in such a way that it can also be called a “kidney warmer.” For smaller clothing sizes, this area hangs in a stylishly casual way.
The hooded scarf does not completely cover the back of the head; this lets long hair show to stylish advantage.

Clean, almost geometric shapes alternate with an interesting color scheme in this chic knitted shawl with the beautiful name Amrun . This gives it a sporty touch and makes it the perfect accessory for a casual jeans look.

Summer is still keeping us waiting and the sun isn’t showing itself all that often, but the strawberries are ripening anyway and delight us every year with their color and flavor.
 

 
To match this year’s strawberry season, I’d like to present this strawberry-shaped gift bag to you: The bag is made from cardstock and measures approx. 16 x 23 x 16 cm. It is well suited for craft beginners, but does require some dexterity. Detailed craft instructions help with assembling all the individual parts.

Trudi is a lovable duck who is simply looking for a nice home. Trudi is approx. 25–30 cm tall, depending on the yarn weight used. Single crochet, increases and decreases—a project that ambitious beginners will enjoy, too. You’ll need approx. 130 g cotton yarn; here I used organic cotton from Lana Grossa, a size 3 crochet hook, stuffing, a blunt needle, and, if you like, two teddy bear eyes, or you can simply embroider the eyes. Of course, Trudi can be crocheted with any yarn/wool you like. This will only change the size and the amount of material needed. 

For little ones and grown-ups... Trudi is simply fun :-)

A somewhat different egg cozy. With just a few grams of your leftover crochet yarn, you can whip up something fun and original for your table. Not everyone has one of these.
These egg cozies are quick to crochet, and with a little time, you can crochet your own little fleet of vehicles.
Approx. 10 g of crochet yarn, hook size 2–2.5, and a tiny bit of stuffing or leftover yarn.
Single crochet, half double crochet, and slip stitches.

Giraffe Peppi              

The giraffe is made with fine crochet thread and is about 27 cm tall. A hook size no. 2 - 2.5 is suitable. A little stuffing, 2 teddy bear eyes (7mm), and a blunt needle. If you like crocheting with thicker yarn, it gets a bit tricky with the neck. But Peppi also looks great as a floppy toy. At least that’s what my neighbor’s girl says ;-) Magic ring, single crochet, and increases and decreases. With about 35 - 40 g of yarn, the giraffe is finished very quickly and can move into your home :-)

Laugh with Me, Butterfly

This cute butterfly will put a smile on your face in any situation. It’s perfect as a cheerful decoration on your window, in a room, or on a door.

It measures 40 cm in height and 30 cm in width.

The project uses cotton yarn for hook sizes 2.5 to 3.5 with a length of 125 m (e.g., Gründl Cotton Quick Uni, Schachenmayr Catania), as well as some fluffy wool.

You’ll need a size 2.0 crochet hook, 8 mm half-beads, stuffing, a hot glue gun, blush & a brush, sewing thread, and sewing supplies.

You should have the following basic crochet skills: single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet, treble crochet, slip stitch, increasing and decreasing stitches, and crocheting in spiral rounds.

The pattern is 27 pages long and includes many pictures that will guide you step by step to successfully creating this cute butterfly. It is also perfectly suitable for beginners.

Duck Elsa is enjoying the sunshine in the garden. With her stylish hat, she simply looks adorable.

Using the specified materials, Duck Elsa measures 19 cm tall when sitting. I recommend cotton yarn for making all my stuffed animals.
