What better gift for a new arrival than a cuddly blanket...It can be made in any color, yarn weight, and size; the pattern explains exactly how. Here, made for a boy in shades of blue—for
little princesses in shades of rose/pink. The blankets shown in the pictures
have a size of approx. 85 cm x 85 cm.

Click here to go to the pattern:

Materials needed:
  • For each blanket, 1200 m of 4-ply yarn with a beautiful color gradient was used here. The matching yarn cakes named "little girl" and "little boy" are available from Wollfamos. Of course, any other yarn can also be
    used
  • crochet hook suitable for the yarn used (I used size 3.5)

For spring and summer, a little knitted vest like this is always a good idea. Whether over a little dress, a bodysuit, or a T-shirt, it always looks pretty.

The vest is knitted as a top-down raglan and works up quickly. You need 100 g of cotton with a yardage of 125 m per 50 g

Bargain - now 50% off:
Two knitting patterns: baby socks with cable and baby shoes

(To purchase/download, please click the image)

50% OFF:

This will keep baby feet well prepared.
Leftover yarn can be wonderfully used for those sweet little feet.

For baby socks with cable and the baby shoes, the following are included as a PDF download:

  • Baby shoes "Jakob" - illustrated pattern and short instructions plus sketch
  • Gauge conversion table in PDF format for reference and printing
  • Baby socks pattern size 15 (basically an illustrated sock-knitting course) with short instructions and charts for sizes 15 to 47
    plus sketch

The baby socks are knitted with a size 2.5 set of double-pointed needles and 4-ply sock yarn (approx. 15 g for sizes 15 to 22). A cable needle (size 2.5) is required for the cable.

For the baby shoes, I used 50 g of soft merino yarn with approx. 120 m - 130 m yardage per 50 g ball, color petrol, for knitting needle size 3–4, approx. 20 g of matching leftover yarn in the same yarn weight, color eggshell white or light beige (= leftover yarn).

Traditional Baby Knit Vest size 86/92 with Intarsia Cable

(To purchase/download, please click the image)

Not just for Oktoberfest season...

For this special sleeveless baby vest without buttons, we need:

150 g merino wool in gray + 50 g merino wool in red, here Schachenmayr Merino Extrafine 120, 50 g – 120 m length, gauge according to the yarn label: 22 sts x 30 rows = 10 x 10 cm, knitting needles 3.0–4.0; here: knitting needles 4.0, cable needle, crochet hook 3.5 for the bow, stitch holder or similar for holding stitches, yarn needle for weaving in ends, stitch marker is helpful.

The PDF pattern is illustrated.

The red cable on the back is made using the intarsia technique (explanation is included) and requires some time and skill—so I would not recommend it for beginner knitters. The cable also looks nice in solid gray; then the whole piece knits up quite quickly. For knitting beginners, I recommend knitting this vest completely without the cable and/or in one color.

By the way: here in my shop there is a free chart for baby measurements (click me).

An absolute must-have for little ones.

They are perfect as first baby shoes. The threaded cord helps prevent them from being kicked off. The sneaker look is an extra eye-catcher.

The pattern includes step-by-step instructions with lots of pictures. In addition, there are two videos (without sound) to help with making the sole.

You can find the pattern here.
