With this triangular shawl in ocean colors, you can practically hear the sound of the Bavarian Sea, Lake Chiemsee. Whether on a Chiemsee steamer crossing over to Fraueninsel or to Herrenchiemsee Palace, or in a mountain café with a view of Lake Chiemsee – with this cuddly-soft lace shawl in the finished dimensions 150 cm x 65 cm (or custom size), you’ll simply feel wonderfully comfortable.

These knitting skills are used:
casting on stitches, knit and purl stitches, increasing stitches from the strand between stitches, knitting through the back loop on knit and purl rows, yarn overs, knitting stitches together, slip-slip-knit decreases, binding off stitches.

Difficulty level: medium / easy for experienced knitters

Material:
In principle, you can use any thin yarn you like with the matching needle size + one needle size larger than recommended on the yarn label.

Used here: 50 g light turquoise + 50 g darker turquoise Ferner Wolle Merino Lace hand-dyed, 100% merino, 50 g – 250 m for needle size 2.0 to 3.0; used here: circular knitting needles 3.0 with various cable lengths (60 cm for the beginning, then switch to 80 cm cable length), circular knitting needle 4.0 at least 80 cm cable length; yarn needle for weaving in ends, scissors; crochet hook size 2.5.

Material:
Basically, you can use any yarn you like with the appropriate hook size; especially suitable for fine yarns, lace yarns / gradient yarns (e.g., Bobbel cakes).

For the size crocheted here:
approx. 350 g total cotton yarn Limone/Catania, 100% cotton, 50 g – 125 m, any color choice,
here 8 colors (partly using up scraps); according to the ball band for hook size 2.5 – 3.5;
used here: 3.5 crochet hook.

In addition, we need: yarn needle for weaving in ends, scissors. A stitch marker is helpful for beginners, pins for blocking.

For this triangular shawl for all seasons, you can basically use any yarn you like – the thinner, the more elegant. Size: as desired.

Material:
For the size made here, approx. 70 cm x 162 cm, I used 350 g of Schachenmayr Cotton Bamboo, 50 g – 120 m, needle size according to the label 3–4, here crochet hook 4.0. I would not recommend thicker yarn for visual reasons. I decided not to block the shawl for myself, as this makes the curves of the shell pattern stand out better – but that’s a matter of taste.


These crochet skills are required:
chain stitches, single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet, front post double crochet (explained).

The PDF pattern is illustrated over 15 pages, but it is not a crochet course. A link/video tip for a crochet course, among other things, is included.

The PDF includes

• in the first part, a detailed pattern with corresponding illustrations,
• in the second part, a shorter version that is also illustrated, and
• last but not least, a scarf/shawl variant in a short version.

Difficulty level: easy to intermediate - no crochet chart - no gauge required

Clean, almost geometric shapes alternate with an interesting color scheme. This gives the shawl a sporty touch and makes it the perfect accessory for a casual jeans outfit.

You can knit this shawl with many different yarns, such as cooling cotton, but you’ll also get great results with sock yarn or other cozy yarns! The yarn used should not be thicker than DK (8-ply wool).



Materials needed :

• Approx. 600 meters of sock-weight yarn (e.g., 50 grams of Drops Safran and 150 grams of Rowan Siena 4-ply)
• Circular knitting needle in the appropriate size and length (I recommend a cable system like the one from Knitpro)
• Stitch markers
• Sewing needle

Skills required:

• knit stitches
• purl stitches
• Yarn overs
• Knit stitches together
• short rows

The shawl is started with just a few stitches at the tip and worked upward toward the neck edge. The finishing edge is worked across using short rows. This is described in detail in the pattern.

Finished size after blocking: approx. 160 x 80 cm

The pattern is 9 pages long and includes written instructions as well as detailed charts.

Difficulty level: medium.

The Fuego crochet shawl is a delicate lace shawl with a timeless pattern.



The shawl is crocheted from top to bottom. Simple stitches make it an ideal project for beginners.

Materials needed:

• approx. 200 grams or approx. 750–800 meters of yarn (e.g., lace yarn, sock yarn, or a “yarn cake” made of plied yarn)
• Crochet hook size 3–3.5
• Scissors
• Sewing needle

Schleswig-Holstein has so many wonderful beaches to offer, and of course they’re perfect for romantic walks. Since there’s always a light breeze here, a shawl like this is perfect. The shawls not only look elegant, they also offer a little protection from the wind.


The Snowdrop Shawl is a really wonderful beginner shawl, because the pattern is very easy to follow.


You only need one gradient yarn cake with 1000 m yardage (preferably one with soft colors), as well as your 3.5 mm crochet hook.





The Sunset Shawl enchants with its gorgeous color gradient, reminiscent of the sunset over the Flensburg Fjord. This shawl is also well suited for beginners.


You only need one gradient yarn cake with 800–1000 m yardage and your 3.5 mm crochet hook as well.

This knitted triangular shawl is pure relaxation—you’ll need exactly one skein of sock yarn. You’ll need to know how to knit and purl, plus a very simple lace pattern. The shawl practically knits itself while you’re relaxing in front of the TV or out in the garden, once the weather finally allows for sitting outside.
You’ll knit with a 4mm circular needle; you may also want to use a stitch marker (though it’s not strictly necessary).

Winterdream is knitted with Merino wool by Pascuali, making it suitable for all seasons: 1 x Merino Baby 100 g (440 m) in a solid color and 1 x Merino Baby 50 g (220 m) in a multicolored version.
The pattern also uses Alpaca Fino, which makes the shawl a bit cozier.
Needle size 3.5.

We were really curious about the NATURAL HEMP YARN "WoCa" from ADRIAFIL...
... and another triangular shawl was created right away.
Here, wool with hemp was transformed into a soft natural yarn.

For the 180 x 80 cm size, you’ll need approximately 220 g/1,100 m of yarn. The shawl can easily be made smaller or larger.
