Baby Traditional Knit Jacket Size 50/56, incl. gauge conversion chart

(Click the image to purchase/download )

..THE traditional classic in miniature..

For this easy-to-knit baby traditional-style cardigan, you’ll need approx. 100 g of, for example, Zimba Top by Schoeller+Stahl in classic traditional gray + 50 g (or leftover yarn) of Regia 4-ply yarn in traditional green for the edging, size 3.0 knitting needles, and, if needed, a size 3–3.5 crochet hook for the decorative foundation chain on the placket.

The PDF pattern includes 15 images .

You’ll also receive an Excel spreadsheet to quickly convert your gauge to your desired size (applicable to all knitted/crocheted pieces; a spreadsheet program is required, e.g., Excel or LibreOffice—the latter is available for free online).

Basic knitting skills are assumed (i.e., these steps are not illustrated).

Required knitting skills : cross cast-on, knit stitches, bind off, increase stitches from the strand between stitches, yarn over (for the buttonholes), knit 2 stitches together.

By the way: This jacket can also be knitted as a vest without sleeves (in which case, crochet around the armholes once in green using single crochet stitches).

JAKOB Baby Cardigan plus Cowl

(Click the image to purchase/download )

This baby cardigan (from the 4-piece “Jakob” set) can be worn in all seasons—even on cool summer days without the cowl. The cowl is knitted separately and buttons up at the back.

The set is available in sizes 62/68 (but may also fit up to size 74—it “grows with the baby”) and is made from soft, temperature-regulating merino yarn with a length of approx. 120 to 130 m (e.g., from Schachenmayr) for needle sizes 3 to 4.

Basic knitting skills are sufficient.

Included in the download :

  • PDF pattern for the “Jakob” baby jacket—illustrated
  • PDF pattern for the “Jakob” baby neckwarmer—illustrated
  • PDF measurements for traditional baby jackets up to size 74

And here’s the link to the pattern

This cute little raglan jacket is a must-have for all the very little ones, little ones, slightly bigger ones, and even the biggest ones...because it’s not only very easy to make by following the detailed step-by-step pattern, but it’s also easy to adapt to any yarn and any size. The pattern explains exactly how to do that!

Even if you’re still a beginner with a crochet hook and/or have never crocheted clothing before and/or have never worked in the so-called RVO (raglan from the top) style: Give it a try! It’s really easy thanks to this pattern!

A simply made girls’ jacket is something you need now and then in spring and summer, too!
The extraordinary border makes all the difference.
This vest has no button band at all—and is therefore worn open.

This pattern is designed for sizes 98/104, 110/116, and 122/128.
However, the included pattern template and the gauge make it possible to make any size.

And this way to the pattern and more details...
