Dear users, dear authors,
Many purists and minimalists appreciate the relatively stark contrast between skillfully combined white and black designs.
Here in this thread, you can find inspiration and patterns on this topic.

@Authors,
this is a promotional thread for all CP authors.
2–3 patterns per author are sufficient. Please link directly to the specific pattern; do not include a general shop link. Only links to CP patterns are allowed; I will remove any other links.
The link, image, material information, technique details, difficulty level, and information about what makes the pattern special must be included.

The black-and-white kitten was crocheted with Phil Douce by Phildar and is about 20 cm tall. Of course, you can also use a different yarn. However, you’ll only get the plush effect with fluffy yarn. Only single crochet stitches are used, so it’s not difficult to crochet. The pattern includes numerous pictures, detailed step-by-step instructions, and tips for working with fluffy yarn. You can download it here:Crochet a cat.

Barbie in the classic “little black dress,” with a matching hat and silver clutch. Isn’t she chic? You only need about 10 g of black glitter yarn (e.g., Glitter by Gründl), a scrap of black eyelash yarn, and a little silver yarn. The dress is very easy to crochet, so it’s absolutely suitable for beginners too. Get it here!

Shiro is a cute little panda. With his loyal eyes, he can convince anyone to cuddle with him. And cuddling is one of his favorite things to do :)

The pattern is 20 pages long and includes many pictures.

You’ll need to know how to do: single crochet, half double crochet, magic ring, and how to increase and decrease stitches.

Shiro’s size: Length: 38 cm (with tail), Height: 26 cm (without ears)
Depending on the type of yarn used, Shiro may be larger or smaller

Materials used:
* Acrylic yarn (e.g. Bravo by Schachenmayr): white, approx. 225 g; black, approx. 100 g; scraps in light pink and medium pink
* Acrylic yarn (e.g. Lisa): scraps in light blue
* Crochet hooks sizes 4 and 2.5, embroidery needle, sewing needle, stuffing, white and black felt (scraps), possibly some fabric glue

Cardigan/Knitted Cardigan Gita - Sizes 36 to 42 One Size

(To purchase/download, please click the image)
Note: the light blue scarf with headband comes from this crochet pattern (click me)

A knitted lightweight piece for every season – whether worn over or under – simple and with an eye-catching collar area. Both patterns used are absolutely easy (only knit and purl stitches). The collar design requires a little attention. Unlike the “Margit” model, the sleeves are knitted with a sleeve cap. The length is variable.

The illustrated pattern with stitch- and row-by-row instructions is based on a gauge of approx. 14.5 sts = approx. 10 cm with size 6.0 knitting needles.

Because of the cardigan’s relaxed shape and stretchiness, one stitch more or less is not that crucial. So it’s no problem if 14 or 15 sts = approx. 10 cm. For larger gauge differences, please choose a larger or smaller knitting needle size. The pattern does not include a knitting tutorial, but it does include relevant link tips.

Difficulty level: intermediate (because of the collar shaping)

We need
225 g KidSilk by Austermann, color 40 emerald, 75% kid mohair, 25% silk, details according to the ball band: needles 3–4, 18 sts x 26 rows = 10 cm x 10 cm, hand wash, 25 g – 225 m yardage; with this material, it is knitted with a double strand.

Used here: size 6.0 knitting needles, pins, measuring tape, yarn needle for weaving in ends, scissors, stitch marker, if needed, row counter.

Summer Top with a Cowl Neck, quick to knit

(To purchase/download, please click the image)

This summer top with the unusual collar is quick to knit.

The download also includes an Excel spreadsheet for converting your individual gauge. For this you need Excel or LibreOffice; the latter is available for free download on the internet.

The PDF pattern is illustrated, but it is not a basic knitting course (link for basic knitting techniques included).

These knitting skills are required:
casting on stitches, purl and knit stitches, yarn over, knit stitches together, slip-knit-pass-over decrease (explained), increase from the strand between stitches, bind off stitches.

We need for sizes S/M/L: 300 g cotton (blend) ribbon yarn, Keiki by Austermann used here, 63% cotton, 37 % polyamide, for needle size 5–6,
gauge according to the yarn label 16 stitches x 23 rows = 10 cm x 10 cm, 50 g–90 m,  pins for blocking, measuring tape, yarn needle for weaving in ends, scissors, row counter is helpful.
Used here: knitting needle size 5.0.

Black & White Is Always in Style

With this bracelet, you can quickly and easily crochet a "sweet" piece of jewelry. Small wooden beads are incorporated into the bracelet, but these can easily be left out. Simply adjust the
length or color to suit your preferences, and the bracelet can become a necklace, while
it also looks different again in another color. A real eye-catcher, especially in
summer, because the crochet yarn makes it light and airy. Also ideal as a quick gift for the "best mom in the world" for Mother's Day!For this little gift you will need
  • Crochet yarn
  • Crochet hook size 2.5
  • Bracelet clasp
  • Scissors/sewing needle
Crocheted using
  • chain stitches
  • slip stitches
  • working off loops
The pattern can be found here
