Dear users, dear authors,
You have surely watched an exuberant dog romping around in the park before. Off the leash, but with other dogs or possibly other animals, and you could see the fun and joy on them.
That is pure joy of life.
Here in this thread you can discover patterns that make life beautiful, colorful, cheerful, and worth living.

@Authors,
this is a promotional thread for all authors on CP.
2-3 thematically fitting colorful and cheerful patterns per author are enough.
Link and image as well as material info, technique info, difficulty level info, and details about what makes the pattern special must not be missing.

The worst household chore for me is washing dishes! I hate it!

For everyone who could use a little more joy in life while doing the dishes—just like me—here is my Unicorn Sponge made with Creative Bubble yarn by rico design.

It’s also easy for beginners to make, comes with a pattern that explains every row and round, and will awaken the fairy or princess in you while you’re washing up. It really works! ;-)

Warning: addictive potential!

With a song on your lips, everything feels easier, as they say :-) At least that’s how it was for me when this scarf was created. I had to keep singing to myself the whole time. "Oh when the saints go marching in". But don’t start laughing now.
The scarf is knitted using the double-face technique—not exactly easy; you should already have some experience with the technique. What keeps impressing me about it is that both sides simply look great; the colors are just mirrored.
For this, you need yarn with a yardage of 150 m per 50 g, 4 balls of each color (if you want to be on the safe side, plan on 5 balls) and 3 mm knitting needles.
The pattern is shown in several knitting charts.

You can find the scarf here.

When you wear this shawl in such gorgeous colors, you’ll automatically
feel happy and playful.

The pattern is also very simple, since the ruffles are knitted right in—
otherwise, it’s just knit stitches.

You’ll need a circular needle and yarn with a yardage of 420 m/100 g

Here’s the pattern:

If my cat feels comfortable, I’m in a good mood too and have a smile on my face :)

I achieved that with this cozy spot. My three kitties love this resting place, and as soon as it’s free, it’s already occupied again. And yet they really do have plenty of places. So the result is simply beautiful.

The cozy spot is crocheted with a size 6 hook and made from fluffy soft yarn. Even crochet beginners can manage with the pattern.

Best regards, Petra

The little velvet paws will happily romp through your life too, and bring energy to your hook as you crochet.

The kittens are crocheted with a 2.5 mm hook, and with a little leftover yarn and stuffing, you’re ready to get started.
With the many detailed photos, even any beginner will manage just fine.

Theo the colorful caterpillar admires you, your stories, or whatever you are doing right now. He is a friend who always understands you and spreads good cheer. Theo always has time for you and loves listening to you. He has a smile that drives all worries away. Give Theo a hug and enjoy his sunny nature.

Length of Theo: approx. 36 cm. Theo’s length varies depending on the yarn and crochet hook size.
I crocheted Theo with Bravo yarn by Schachenmayr and the eyes with Lisa yarn by Gründl.

Materials needed:
  • Bravo acrylic yarn: apple green, approx. 45 g, orange, approx. 25 g, red, approx. 15 g, turquoise, approx. 15 g
  • Lisa by Gründl: scraps in white and black
  • Crochet hooks no. 3 and 3.5, embroidery needle, sewing needle, stuffing, fabric glue (one drop).
The pattern includes 24 pages with many pictures.
Skills needed: single crochet, magic ring, double crochet, and stitch increases and decreases

Crochet Pattern Triangular Shawl FARBENSPIEL

(To purchase/download, please click the image)

Cheerfully colorful – in your favorite colors (or even using up leftovers), this triangular shawl can be crocheted quickly in just a few evenings – very relaxing. and a wonderful gift for all kinds of occasions. Give joy of life to yourself and/or to others.

  • Also ideal for beginners
  • NO gauge required
  • for any yarn you like, any color choice – using up leftovers is also possible
  • Shawl size as desired; dimensions of the shawl shown: approx. 200 cm x 100 cm
  • Illustrated PDF pattern incl. short version for printing (no crochet chart)

These crochet skills are enough:
chain stitches, single crochet, and slip stitches (all explained with pictures)

Material:
Basically, any yarn you like can be used with the appropriate hook size; it is especially wonderful for thin yarns, lace yarns / gradient yarns (e.g. bobbel yarns).

For the size crocheted here:
a total of approx. 350 g Limone/Catania cotton yarn, 100% cotton, 50 g – 125 m, any color choice, here 8 colors (partly using up leftovers);
according to the label for hook size 2.5 – 3.5; used here: crochet hook 3.5.
We also need: yarn needle for weaving in ends, scissors. A stitch marker is helpful for beginners, pins for blocking.

Also for the little ones, with a splash of red:

Baby traditional knitted vest size 86/92 with intarsia cable

(To purchase/download, please click the image)

Not just for Oktoberfest season...

For this special sleeveless baby vest without buttons, we need:

150 g merino wool gray + 50 g merino wool red,
here Schachenmayr Merino Extrafine 120, 50 g – 120 m yardage, gauge according to ball band: 22 sts x 30 rows = 10 x 10 cm, knitting needles 3.0–4.0;

here: knitting needles 4.0, cable needle, crochet hook 3.5 for the bow, stitch holder or similar for holding stitches, yarn needle for weaving in ends, stitch marker is helpful.

The PDF pattern is illustrated.
The red cable on the back is worked in intarsia technique (explanation is included) and requires a little time and skill—I therefore would not recommend it for beginner knitters. The cable also looks nice in solid gray; the whole piece is then knitted up quite quickly. For knitting beginners, I recommend knitting this vest completely without the cable and/or in one solid color.

By the way: here in my Shop there's a free chart for baby measurements.
