Crochet Pattern: 3D-Look Pot Holder (Cube)

This great pot holder is sure to be a hit with the younger generation

Thanks to its unique 3D-look pattern, this pot holder is guaranteed to be anything but boring. With its solid colors, it’s sure to fit into any home decor. Size:

• Side to side: 17 cm 
• Corner to corner: 19 cm

If you’d like the pot holder to be a bit larger, you can use slightly thicker yarn and a larger crochet hook. Since I’ve explained everything in great detail, step by step, this pattern is definitely suitable for beginners as well.

This colorful pair of owls in the Crazy Patterns color scheme is sure to brighten up your kitchen! Aside from the scale pattern for the wings and belly feathers (which is explained in detail with pictures in the pattern), they’re actually relatively easy and quick to crochet. The pot holders are also very practical, since you can slip your hand right inside them. I used cotton yarn with a length of 125 m/50 g (Schachenmayr Catania).

For this, you need 50 g cotton yarn per color for a size 4.5 crochet hook. The PDF pattern includes pictures, but it is not a crochet course (click me) .

A touch of fresh spring green as kitchen decor or for real use as a potholder made from 100% cotton – a useful little gift for all kinds of occasions.

Both the pattern for the potholder and the pattern for the crochet flower(s) include step-by-step pictures.

Materials:

For 1 standard-size potholder, 21 cm x 21 cm: 50 g light green + 50 g dark green crochet yarn made from 100%  cotton/plant fiber for heat resistance, e.g. Schoeller+Stahl Record 210, 50 g - 90 m, according to the label 16 sts x 24 rows = 10 x 10 cm), so 50 g per color for the Tunisian crochet hook up to max. size 4.5.

For the flower(s), leftover cotton yarn is enough, e.g. Catania (Schachenmayr) or Limone (Schoeller+Stahl), for crochet hook size 2.5 - 3.5.

Note: heat-resistant cotton yarn (= potholder yarn) is only lightly twisted and is therefore difficult to crochet with, especially for beginners, because the yarn splits a lot. So if heat resistance is not so important to you, e.g. if you don’t place a hot pot on the potholder, you can also crochet with a cotton blend yarn, e.g. Pantino by Schoeller+Stahl.

In addition, we need a tape measure, scissors, and a yarn needle for weaving in ends
General crochet skills are sufficient; the Tunisian crochet technique is explained with pictures.

Mother’s Day is the perfect opportunity to make a pot holder like this. It’s crocheted using single crochet stitches, which even beginners can master. Materials: 20 g of Gründl white yarn, 20 g of multicolored yarn, 1 size 3.5 crochet hook. Of course, you can also use leftover cotton yarn.

Practical pot holder/slip-on glove!
  The pot holder is crocheted in two layers, making it suitable for handling hot items. For this pattern, you should be familiar with the following stitches and terms: chain stitches, single crochet, double crochet, and slip stitches. Materials: Cotton yarn, "Cotton" by Lana Grossa, 50g/90m. Crochet hook size 4.
