What are you working on right now?

Hi
I think the last time Mützekatze asked the group what you’re all up to right now was a few weeks or even months ago. So I thought we could bring it back. That’s why I’m asking you all: What are you working on right now? Are you working on something completely new? Maybe some fancy yarn? Or are you practicing a brand-new technique? Have you learned or seen something completely new and amazing? I’m currently trying my hand at a little amigurumi—it’s going to be a gift for a very sweet girl. I really hope I can pull something nice together.
If you’d like and have some time, please let me know what you’re working on right now.
Sunny regards
Sidney

Hello Sidney,

I’ve just caught the double knitting bug.
I’m afraid my new pattern will be

something along those lines too. Best wishes, Nici

Hi Nici
what’s a doubleface? I can’t really picture what that is right now.

I just finished a sweater and a sleeved shawl for reading in bed for an elderly lady. Now I’m struggling with a UFO—it just won’t turn out the way I want it to.

I like DF—what are you making there?? I’ve knitted a few Tola.

Hello,

I’m sewing book covers, vaccination card holders, and feed bags.
I’m currently on a forced break because of a broken wrist.

Best wishes, Conny

Hi muetzekatze,

“Doubleface” is a knitting technique with two right sides. You knit the front and back practically at the same time in one step and join them securely together. Patterns are usually worked into the fabric this way. The floats that are usually present in such patterns are no longer visible because they run between the two layers.
(Just Google it.)
Bastelhilde: I tried my hand at some simple mittens and am currently working on combining that with baby booties and children’s socks. But I’m a bit stumped right now—what exactly are Tola???

Best regards,

Nici

@ muetzekatze

Thanks for the nice welcome and get-well wishes.
You can't keep a good weed down—I was already browsing in the fabric shop again yesterday to get some new inspiration.

I’m currently working on a dress with a cable and textured stitch pattern.
There will also be a matching bolero to go with it. It’s turning out really beautifully
