I want to sell some finished items... Where?

Hi! I love crocheting and have a few (dozens^^) finished items that I'd like to sell. Where could I do that? Can I do it here? Thanks!

Couldn’t we just create an additional subforum here, like “Custom-Made Items,” “Orders,” “Buy & Sell,” “Wool Dreams Come True,” “Completely Finished Knitted/Crocheted/Sewn Items,” “Users Sew/Crochet/Knit for Money for Other Users,” or “Buying/Selling Finished Handmade Items”?
Well, okay, some of the suggestions might not be very practical, but I think it’s clear what I’m getting at.
A separate platform is probably difficult to program. I don’t know much about that, but I checked out your Facebook page and saw that quite a few people there are interested in finished items. So the subforum might be worth it.
If you group the custom-made items together in their own subforum instead of spreading them out across Crochet/Knitting/Sewing, they won’t get pushed down by current topics or general discussions. Having everything in “one place” would probably also increase the promotional effect for the users who make these items.

Just a few ideas :)

thank you so much! I’ve seen Dawanda before and noticed that some handmade items are sold there. But I didn’t know you could sell your own things there, too. I’m a little surprised that you have to pay fees. Isn’t there anywhere you can sell without paying fees?

I thought that if you buy or sell items here in the “Orders” subforum, there wouldn’t be a commission fee—or am I wrong about that?

If you buy or sell through the forum, there’s no fee. In this case, there’s no intermediary. The forum is only there so that buyers and sellers can communicate with each other. The forum is meant to help you find a job or commission, or someone to take it on. Once you’ve found each other, you can exchange email addresses via private messages and discuss the rest by email or directly through private messages. In this case, the forum is just a platform for communication (nothing more).

There definitely seems to be a demand for it, though, judging by the commission subforum.
Quite a few posts have already piled up there in such a short time.

But that doesn’t surprise me.
These days, many people are too lazy to crochet, knit, or sew, or they don’t even know how anymore because they never learned, don’t have the time, or spend too much time on the computer ;)
But if you want something really beautiful that perfectly matches your own wishes, you either have to search the shops forever or make it yourself, or have it made for you.

I think the commission forum is a great idea.
It’ll definitely go down well and generate many more threads.
