Crochet Marathon

Hi :)
Have you ever managed to set aside a whole day just for crocheting?
If so, would you actually feel like crocheting all day long? Or would you rather knit?
If so, how many stitches or square meters do you think you could get done?
Just asking out of curiosity :)

Hiiiiii,

with 3 kids, a wonderful partner, and a dog, a whole day of crocheting will probably remain a pipe dream until I’m old and gray ;-)))
But I probably wouldn’t even be able to crochet all day anyway, or I’d end up starting 5 different projects at once. By the way, that’s usually how it is for me—I work on several projects at once:

one to take with me, one I can easily work on while watching TV, one for outdoors, a challenging one, a knitted one....

Crocheting is nice in the evening for an hour or two—maybe even in front of the TV—but that’s about it.

you’ve really got a lot going on with your crochet projects :) So many different things at once. But I think that could actually be pretty handy, because with so many crochet projects to choose from, you’ll always find one that you can make good progress on in the time you have available.

Yeah, that’s true. I’m more the type who crochets to relax. I like crocheting, but after 1–2 hours, the concentration you need just starts to fade—unless you’ve been crocheting for years already.

For me, it started about 1.5 years ago as a form of therapy ;-) I was pregnant and needed something to keep my fingers busy so they wouldn’t reach for cigarettes!  It worked from the very first minute and was even fun... now my little one is almost a year old, and I’m still hooked on crocheting. Unfortunately, the same can’t be said for cigarettes :-\/

I should add that I’m new here and don’t know my way around yet, but I really love this site!

When winter comes now, and that can’t be long off, I’ll be crocheting a lot again and all that stuff.
