This is an illustrated
sock-knitting course using size 15 baby socks
knitted from 4-ply sock yarn and consists of a total of
4 PDF files:
- Main pattern,
- handwritten sketches,
- baby sock chart for sizes 15 - 20 and
- sock chart for sizes 22 - 47.
The main pattern includes a baby mitten pattern presented in brief form, since parts of the baby sock pattern can be used for it.
Don’t be alarmed! It is harder to describe the process than to knit the socks.
Materials needed:
approx. 15 g 4-ply sock yarn for the baby socks, approx. 10 g 4-ply sock yarn for the baby mittens, for adult socks up to size 44: 100 g sock yarn; if larger, 150 g is required. Set of double-pointed needles size 2.5, measuring tape, scissors, yarn needle.
The baby socks can also be embroidered, for example, and used in various ways—not just as baby socks—e.g. as “packaging” for gifts of money or sweets, as an Advent calendar, as a key ring (it looks prettier if made proportionally smaller), and more.
