Dear users, dear authors,
baby clothes are also great to crochet. It’s always good to have a large selection of baby clothes. With our many patterns for baby clothes, that’s no problem. Patterns that let you crochet multiple sizes are always an advantage, too. As soon as the baby grows out of the jacket or romper, with a pattern that includes several sizes you can simply crochet a larger romper or a larger jacket, or even cute baby shoes. Practical, right? Discover them now.

@Authors,
please present a maximum of 2–3 patterns per person for crocheted baby clothes here. An image and link, as well as information about the material, technique, difficulty level, and what makes the pattern special, must be included.

It doesn’t always have to be cute little 3D animals. This baby jacket has an adorable giraffe appliqué. The giraffe peeks out of the pocket with its curious eyes. The little jacket is a sweet eye-catcher.

With the pattern, the jacket can be crocheted in the following 2 sizes: size 62/68 (up to 6 months) and size 74/80 (9 to 12 months).

I crocheted the baby jacket with Lisa yarn (yardage: 50g/133m) by Gründl. Alternatively, the jacket can also be crocheted with the following yarns, among others:
  • Schachenmayr, Baby Smiles Bravo 135
  • Pro Lana, Basic Cotton
  • Schachenmayr, Catania.
Required materials (The material usage refers to the jacket in size 62/68. For size 74/80, approx. 30 g of yarn should be added):
Lisa acrylic yarn:
  • Pastel yellow, approx. 160g
  • Yellow, approx. 10 g
  • Medium brown, approx. 10g
  • Leftovers in cream, black, and white
  • Crochet hooks no. 2.5 and 3, embroidery and sewing needle.
The pattern includes 24 pages with many pictures and a chart for the appliqué.

Knowledge required in: single crochet, magic ring, double crochet, and increasing and decreasing stitches

Here you can find the pattern for the sweet little jacket

And of course, the perfect hat is a must for such a sweet outfit! That’s why I have the “Emma” baby hat with a delicate star pattern for you. It’s just right for spring or cool summer evenings.

In the pattern, I’ve written down the exact size and stitch information for babies from 0–12 months, and I also show you how you can easily adapt the hat for any other size and any yarn you like. This way, the hat simply grows with your little one, and you can give it a fresh new look again and again with different yarns and colors.

Just give it a try! All you need is about 50 g of yarn and the matching crochet hook, and you’re ready to get started. You’ll see how easy it is and won’t want to stop :-)
