Hi Josefa,

....Easter—and Easter—and of course Easter.... I’m about to grow bunny ears :-)

But this year, my Easter branches will be decorated only with handmade items.

Just like Sabine, it’s all about Easter for me :) It’s not bunny ears that are growing on me—I’m about to turn completely egg-shaped :D

Tanja: That bull already looks awesome.
We don’t decorate for Easter here; my husband thinks it’s too kitschy. I’m only allowed to decorate for Christmas :-)

I’m on a ski holiday right now. My husband is skiing, and I go hiking, then sit in the sun and crochet, usually with a delicious cup of tea. I’ve found a lovely hut where they serve delicious tea, you can watch the skiers, and you won’t be disturbed while crocheting :-)

I’m still crocheting my poncho. I hope I can finish it. I have so many ideas for what I can make

For me, everything’s already all about Easter—I’m right in the middle of preparations for the Easter market, and on the side, I’m crocheting a cover for a teapot.

I made another silly egg cozy, and now I’m working on a bag charm… a bunny, of course.

I’m going to veer off-topic for a moment... ;-)

A Scoodie... that’s been “keeping me company” since November and is slowly *mocking* me...

Final push!

I don’t have anything Easter-themed on my needles yet either, but after my forced break, I’m now working on my knitted sweater at a snail’s pace. Just 10–12 rows at a time, and then another loooong break… I think it’ll be finished just in time for the start of next winter… Unfortunately, I can’t do any crocheting yet because that’s much tighter than knitting the sweater :(

I’m currently working on a crocheted jacket for spring. The stitch pattern is quite large
and not too difficult, so I’m making good progress.
I’m already halfway done.

Last night I started my next attempt at tapestry crochet. — I’ve finally figured out how to keep the different threads from constantly twisting together ;-)

I’m slowly getting the hang of it (I think) ;-)
Let’s see if I can actually make something presentable this time!

Yesterday I finished my short poncho and crocheted some matching wrist warmers.

I had already tried my hand at this project before Christmas—but there were still a few mistakes in it, and I didn’t know how to keep the threads from twisting all the time.
That’s why I put it aside for a while—but now I’ve mustered up all my courage and given it another try ;-)

Here’s what I made last night:

@AramisvonK,

it already looks really good.... can you imagine the yarn chaos with the owl mochila? In the end I was just sliding the balls of yarn back and forth ;-)

Oh yeah! I can definitely believe that! .... But it was definitely worth it :-D It turned out really beautiful. And the pattern, in particular, is something special!

Yeah, someday I’d like to try my hand at a Mochilla (or maybe a tablet case) again.
Oh, if only I had the time! ;-)

@AramisvonK,

Side tip: take the yarn from the inside, then you’ll avoid yarn chaos more easily...

Oh yes, that’s a great tip! Thanks. .... You’re right—that way the balls of yarn don’t bounce all over the place. ;-)

And I also found 1–2 very helpful videos on YouTube. They explained that each ball of yarn has its own designated spot. And whenever you change colors, you put the old color back exactly where it belongs and take the new color from its designated spot.
When you first pick up the new color, the strands right by the needle might get a little twisted, but that sorts itself out again after the first stitch.... and in return, the balls of yarn always stay in their place and you don’t have to rearrange them every two minutes.
(That was actually my problem—I was so busy sorting them that eventually I just didn’t feel like it anymore.) ;-)

Yeah, I felt the same way with the owl mochilla, and especially when you’re crocheting with multiple strands—tightening the strands individually… helps a ton :-)

Today I’m working on my rainbow entrelac blanket for my little one… finally, the rows are getting shorter again, and eventually the first section will be done—I only need 4 sections of it to sew them together ;-)
