Not only is the weekend just around the corner, winter also wants to make a comeback. So now is exactly the right time to quickly knit yourself a warm accessory for the coming cold days.

The knitting pattern for the Varya hat is just the thing for that!

Varya is knitted flat, meaning in right side and wrong side rows; you don’t need a set of double-pointed needles and don’t have to calculate any stitches for the head circumference.

Materials needed for the hat:

  • approx. 70 grams of yarn for needle size 6 - 7, or approx. 140 meters (e.g., MyBoshi Goat or similar yarn; please note the yardage)
  • knitting needle size 6 - 7
  • 2 stitch markers
  • tape measure
  • scissors
  • sewing needle
  • some scrap yarn for the provisional cast-on
  • crochet hook
And so the hat doesn’t have to be all alone, there’s also a great cowl included as a set at a special savings price.

The Nelthil cowl is first knitted in rows and later in rounds. With cozy winter yarn, it’s finished in no time. But this cowl can also be knitted beautifully in other yarn weights, such as DK or sock yarn.

Materials needed for the cowl:

• 120 grams of yarn (e.g., MyBoshi Goat or similar yarn) = approx. 250 meters
• circular knitting needle size 6
• stitch marker
• scissors
• sewing needle

The cowl is started with just a few stitches at the lower point and knitted straight upward. It gets its shape from regular increases.
Finished size after blocking: approx. 63 cm (length) x 30 cm (neck diameter)

Both patterns include written instructions as well as charts; the hat pattern also includes a photo tutorial for the transverse rib pattern.
Difficulty level: easy to intermediate (suitable for ambitious beginners).

Click here and get this great set of two knitting patterns and save up to 25% compared to buying them individually.

How about knitting a wonderful cowl or scarf with a "witches' staircase pattern" over the weekend,
you can also wear it beautifully for the transition between seasons,
and it’s a lot of fun to knit!
For this, you’ll need yarn with a lovely color gradient in your favorite colors and size 5 knitting needles

you can knit it as a cowl or as a scarf, whichever you prefer,

I also have a lovely idea for the weekend. All you need is 15 g of sock yarn and a set of double-pointed needles size 2 or 2.5. With these, you could knit a charming, elegant dress for your daughter’s or granddaughter’s favorite little doll. You’ll see—it’s really easy. The pattern is also suitable for beginners, as long as they know how to knit with double-pointed needles.

Maybe you’ll end up with 2 or 3 dresses—then you can play fashion show together.
I hope you enjoy the pattern and have a relaxing weekend.
Yours, “Ina strickt”

If you read the previous post and thought, “Too bad I can’t knit—I would have loved to make a dress as pretty as that, too,” there’s help for you. There are 7 beautiful patterns for crocheted doll clothes. Each dress is more beautiful than the last. And with the little hats and bags to go with them, it’ll be a complete collection. That’ll make playing with the dolls even more fun. The patterns are also suitable for crochet beginners because I show and explain everything in detail.

I hope you enjoy the pattern and have a relaxing weekend of crocheting—Yours, Ina (knits :-))

Cool shark socks-->> Here’s the pattern

Also available for babies here

These cozy shark socks are a great gift idea. The details correspond to sock size 39/40, but they can also be worn with size 41 or size 38. The pattern was written by me and crocheted beforehand; all the pictures were taken from this work and support my written pattern. What you need:

Supplies: white and gray yarn from Gründl Happy (1 ball each, 100 g/250 m length), anti-pilling, some stuffing, buttons (black), yarn needle, and size 3.5 crochet hook. General information first:

The shark socks consist of several individual pieces that are only crocheted/sewn together at the end. The sole length is approx. 25.3 cm and the width is 9.5 cm. Except for the fins, all parts are worked in half double crochet and in right side and wrong side rows. One stitch is approx. 0.5 cm wide and 0.8 cm high, so you can also convert the measurements for other sizes.

There are also cool crocodile socks
