E-book patterns

Hi, I'm new here and have a question:

So far, I've only downloaded PDF patterns. There are also e-book patterns. But I don’t have an e-reader!
Can I still download this pattern onto a regular PC running Windows 7 and read, save, or print it there?

P.S.: It’s for a dog sweater, but the pattern is only available as an e-book.

The patterns referred to here as “e-books” are all in PDF format, so you can open them on any standard PC or smartphone using the appropriate software. That’s absolutely no problem :)

the terms “PDF pattern” and “e-book” are used interchangeably here—they both mean the same thing, namely patterns in PDF format.
You can download them all without any worries and open them on your PC using a standard PDF reader—and of course, you can print them all out, too. ;-)

I’ve since successfully downloaded the pattern, and as soon as I find the right yarn, I’ll get started.
Do you have any tips on where I can find the “Bellisima” yarn by Laura Biagiotti? The pattern is from 2013, and when I search for “Bellisima” on Google, I don’t get any results, so I’m assuming this yarn is no longer available.

Have you checked eBay? They often have discontinued yarn there. And you don’t need that much for a dog sweater.

Maybe you could use a similar yarn if you can’t find the exact same one—does the pattern specify the yardage for Bellisima? Or does it include a gauge?

To RuthK - unfortunately, neither eBay nor Google turns up anything useful either.

To AramisvonK - that’s exactly the problem. I can’t find any information on the yarn yardage, and there’s no gauge given either. The only information is
Crochet hook 4.00 / gauge: 2 stitches = 1.5 cm.
That’s why I’m trying to find out more about this Bellisima by Laura Biagiotti (I’m not dead set on having to use exactly this yarn), but without exact yarn details, I can’t find a comparable yarn.
Therefore, I was hoping that maybe someone here could give me this information?

I just found something:

Bellissima by Laura Biagiotti
-worsted weight, 9 wpi
-91 m / 50 g
-100% wool (unfortunately, I don’t know exactly what that means)

(It’s just the info, though, not a shop or anything.)

thanks for offering to contact the author—the author of the crochet pattern has since replied—the Belissima yarn mentioned in the pattern is no longer available. At least I now know that it’s mohair yarn. Based on that, I’m now looking for alternatives with a yardage of 100m/50g—the 93 meters specified for Belissima aren’t available here. But I’m sure that won’t make much of a difference.
