Dear users, dear authors,
the week is over, and the weekend gives us another chance to take care of those last-minute Christmas shopping trips. I hope you’ll also have enough time for some relaxing crafts. You’ll find some great patterns here in this thread. Give them a try.

@Authors
Please post relevant patterns for the weekend here. Be sure to include an image, a link, and text with information on the materials, technique, difficulty
level, and what makes the pattern special.

Next weekend is Christmas! If you haven’t wrapped all your gifts yet and are looking for packaging ideas, you could make this pretty container this weekend.

This star is made from photo cardstock and measures approx. 16.5 x 18.5 x 6 cm. It’s not hard to make, but you should have a little crafting experience.

You just have to love Lily!! The sheep for cuddling.....Who says it always has to be Santa Claus?
Lily is crocheted with single crochet stitches. Depending on the yarn weight, the size can vary. With filet crochet thread or mohair. Anything is possible. The matching hook and a little stuffing. Lily is crocheted relatively quickly, and if you start right away, Lily can still be under the Christmas tree.
Have fun crocheting :-)

Brrrr... it's cold outside!
The knitted cowl "Nelthil" is just the thing. With thick winter yarn, the cowl can be knitted in just a few evenings. Thanks to its great shape, it reliably keeps your neck and décolleté warm, and nothing can slip out of place.

Materials needed:
• 120 grams of yarn (e.g., MyBoshi Goat or a similar yarn) = approx. 250 meters
• Circular knitting needle size 6 (or adjusted to the weight of the yarn used)
• Stitch markers
• Scissors
• Sewing needle

The cowl is started with just a few stitches at the lower point and knitted straight upward. It gets its shape through regular increases.
Finished size after blocking: approx. 63 cm (length) x 30 cm (neck diameter)

Skills needed:

Basic skills, emphasized decrease, full brioche stitch

The pattern is 7 pages long and includes written instructions as well as charts and a schematic drawing. It has been test knitted and checked for errors.

Difficulty level: easy to intermediate.

Click here and get this wonderful pattern!

Not much of a shopper? Prefer to make things yourself? From DKG—the “German Consumer Society”—here’s a free pattern on how to make a colorful beaded necklace—feel free to use found beads or unloved costume jewelry that has been sitting in the shadows until now. The main thing is that you have beads of different sizes available that, when combined by color, create a harmonious, cheerful look… then you can simply adapt the pattern to the beads you already have.
