Dear users, dear authors,
Guardian angels are something that many people can relate to. (If this doesn’t resonate with you, please don’t be upset.)
Here on Crazypatterns, angels, guardian angels, and Christmas angels sell exceptionally well—and not just at Christmas. Is this a symbol that’s simply part of Christmas for you, or does it mean even more?
I’ll admit openly that I’m a person of faith and believe in guardian angels and benevolent forces.
Perhaps I can illustrate this with a little story.
My father passed away nine weeks ago, and of course, we’re all still grieving deeply.
I miss him every day.
The other night, I was out walking my dog; it was a starry night and everything was quiet (we live right in the middle of the city, so that alone is unusual), and whenever it’s this quiet, thoughts of my dad come flooding back especially strongly. And I was gazing up at the starry sky, lost in thought, thinking so much about my father, when suddenly—I saw a shooting star!
Right in the middle of the city, despite the light pollution! I’ve never experienced anything like that before!
And I’m absolutely convinced that this was a greeting from my father.
And I believe that, as our guardian angel, he’s always around us....
I have to say that I don’t believe in things like that—but the idea is still kind of wonderful! And I also really enjoy having and giving away guardian angels :)
I believe in guardian angels and that they accompany us in all situations in life. And I think they’re a part of our lives all year round.
That’s what I try to instill in my children—that there’s always someone there watching over them. Whether they’ll accept it that way remains to be seen.
And I enjoy making them and looking at them—whether they’re made of wool, glass, or other materials.
I’m not religious, but I’m very open to believing that there’s more to the world than what we humans can perceive with our underdeveloped senses. In any case, I find the idea very beautiful—that someone or something is watching over me and my loved ones a little bit.
I find the idea that everyone has a guardian angel very beautiful. But my father, of all people? Thanks, but I had enough of him while he was alive. I could very much do without meeting him again after I die. I’d much rather have my mom.
I really enjoy making little angels and giving them as gifts. I think my crocheted little angels are very beautiful myself, and they’re always admired.
