Here’s a beautiful idea for decorating a table for Advent or Christmas. This Christmas caterpillar is relatively quick to crochet and
also doable for beginners. It’s not just children who will enjoy it.

Required materials:

• approx. 45g - 50g cotton (Catania by Schachenmayr with a yardage of 125m/50g was used here
• 4 LED lights
• possibly felt scraps for the nose and eyes (but these can also be embroidered)
• crochet hook size 2.5

Need a quick last-minute gift or Christmas decoration ? This decorative piece consists of two parts, each of which can also be used on its own.
Finished size using the yarn listed below: approx. 7 cm in diameter.

The PDF pattern includes plenty of illustrations.

All you need is a scrap of metallic yarn weighing about 10 g; for example, the yarn used here: Nora Madeira, 25 g – 100 m, 80% viscose, 20% metallized polyester, for crochet hook sizes 2.5–3.0.
However, you can also use any yarn with a matching crochet hook size. In that case, the size of the finished piece will vary depending on the yarn. You’ll also need a size 2.5 crochet hook, scissors, and a yarn needle.

The following crochet skills are required:
chain stitches, single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet, triple crochet,
slip stitches, crocheting in rows, and crocheting in rounds.
