Something practical yet elegant and wonderfully cozy is this pretty “Winter Fairy Tale” scarf collar with matching wrist warmers.

You only need about 220 g of your favorite yarn, the matching crochet hook, and a rainy weekend. Since only chain stitches, double crochet, and single crochet are used here, this scarf is very quick and easy to crochet and also a rewarding project for beginners.

You can find the pattern here: https://www.crazypatterns.net/de/items/20641/schalkragen-amp-pulswaermer-winter-maerchen-haekelanleitung-fuer-anfaenger

And if you’d rather make a nice little something that also lets you use up your leftover yarn, then I also have the little “Santa hat” egg cozies for you.

They are super quick to crochet and simply fun! Believe me, you’ll hardly be able to stop. So grab your red and white leftover yarn and bring plenty of Christmas cheer to the breakfast table!

My little cuddly bear is small, quick to crochet, and absolutely adorable.

Experienced crocheters can easily finish it in 2 hours. The pattern is illustrated and suitable for beginners, but basic knowledge is required.

You can also use leftover yarn very well for this little bear. You’ll need about 35 g for the body and about 10 g each for the color accents (ears, nose, undersides of the paws) and the scarf.

The Sherwood Forest neck warmer is knitted entirely in garter stitch with fluffy yarn – it will definitely be finished by Christmas! The unusual shape is created with short rows. If you've never tried them before, this is a great way to practice, because with garter stitch you won't see any irregularities. And of course, a photo tutorial is included too. After that, you definitely won't be intimidated by any pattern that uses short rows, because they are sooo much easier to make than they sound!

Here's the cowl: Click!

Everyone loves great mittens—and when they come in such a speedy striped pattern (coordinated, of course, to match the rest of the wardrobe), the recipients will be even happier. The RASANTE mittens are actually not difficult to knit, but since some parts are a bit fiddly and you first have to get your head around the unusual construction, I wouldn’t recommend them for knitting beginners. However, all sock knitters will enjoy them!

By the way: The pattern includes 4 sizes as well as lots of tips for individual adjustments—which are also helpful, of course, if you want to use yarn in a different weight.

Here are the mittens: Click!

Super quick to knit and, on top of that, a wonderful Christmas gift: the Beria hat.
Beria is Elvish and means protection or to protect.

The hat is knitted flat and in rows, which means you don’t need a set of double-pointed needles. It’s also not necessary to calculate the number of stitches for the circumference. You simply knit until the piece fits around the head and then bind off the stitches together.

    Materials needed:

    • 50 grams of yarn (approx. 125 meters, e.g. MyBoshi Flow or a similar thick yarn)
    • 7 mm circular knitting needle
    • 2 stitch markers
    • sewing needle
    • A little scrap yarn for the provisional cast-on
    • 7 mm crochet hook
Skills required: basic skills, short rows, right-leaning stitch increase, provisional cast-on (explained in the pattern)

    Intermediate difficulty

The pattern is 8 pages long and includes written-out instructions, charts, a schematic drawing, and a photo tutorial for the crosswise rib.

Grab this wonderful pattern today and knit a very special, stylish Christmas gift.

    Here’s the pattern

Another quick-to-knit and stylish hat is Varya.

Since the hat is knitted flat in rows, you don’t need a set of double-pointed needles or even a circular needle. You also don’t need to calculate your head circumference. You simply knit until the hat fits around your head. That’s why the pattern is suitable for all sizes. ☺ The width of the hat is—depending on the yarn—approx. 28–30 cm.

    Materials needed:

    • Approx. 70 grams of yarn for needle sizes 6–7 or approx. 140 meters (e.g., MyBoshi Goat or similar yarn; please note the yardage)
    • Needle size 6–7
    • 2 stitch markers
    • Measuring tape
    • Scissors
    • Sewing needle
    • some leftover yarn for the provisional cast-on
    • Crochet hook
    The pattern includes:

    • 9 pages
    • Written instructions
    • Charts
    • Photo tutorial for the horizontal ribbing
    • Explanation of the provisional cast-on
    Difficulty level: easy to medium

Go ahead and get this great pattern right away—then grab your knitting needles!

A hat also makes a lovely gift under the Christmas tree. What child wouldn’t be happy to receive the same hat from the Christ Child as Dad or even Grandpa?

The hat comes in 8 sizes, and they knit up quickly with a set of double-pointed needles in sizes 3.5 and 4.
For the smaller sizes, leftover yarn is also suitable, e.g. in different colors.
For sizes 7 and 8, you need a little more than 50 g.

    Recommended yarns from Schachenmayr are
    Schachenmayr Juvel yardage 50 g / 106 mSchachenmayr Extra Merino yardage 50 g /130 mPatons Diploma Gold yardage 50 g / 120 mSchachenmayr Soft Wool yardage 50 g / 110 m.

Of course, any other yarn with a similar yardage is also suitable.

Need a quick last-minute gift or Christmas decoration ? This decorative piece consists of two parts, each of which can also be used separately.

The PDF pattern is generously illustrated.

All you need is a small amount of metallic yarn weighing about 10 g; for example, the yarn used here: Nora Madeira, 25 g – 100 m, 80% viscose, 20% metallized polyester, for crochet hook sizes 2.5–3.0.
However, you can also use any yarn with a matching crochet hook size. In that case, the size of the finished piece will vary depending on the yarn. You’ll also need a size 2.5 crochet hook, scissors, and a yarn needle.

The following crochet skills are required:
chain stitches, single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet, triple crochet, slip stitches, crocheting in rows, and crocheting in rounds. The pattern includes links to tips on crochet techniques .

    Hello, dear crochet fans,
this crochet set (unisex) i n fashionable gray consists of a beanie and a Möbius cowl/loop.

The PDF pattern is written for head circumferences of 52 cm – 60 cm and includes both the beanie and the loop (one-size-fits-all). It is illustrated but requires general crochet knowledge (chain stitches, single
crochet, double crochet, crocheting in the round, slip stitches, increases, and decreases). The special stitches are illustrated and described. I would rate the difficulty as “medium”; it’s easy for experienced crocheters.

You’ll need 150 g of yarn (50 g – 75 m per skein) for the hat and 100 g for the loop. Unlike the hook sizes listed on the label, this pattern uses hook sizes 8.0 and 10.0.
