With this super-soft
X-mas Merino sock yarn - 6-ply by Ferner Wolle (150 g/450 m), after knitting a pair of adult socks, there is usually still enough yarn left for at least 1 pair of smaller socks for a baby or children.
Remaining leftovers of approx. 50 g can also be wonderfully made into wrist warmers (so without a heel or sock foot) - for this, just knit the "leg".
Of course, any other 6-ply sock yarn can also be used for this pattern.
The PDF pattern is basically a
sock-knitting course. For this, I have worked out
tables for 6-ply sock yarn for shoe sizes from newborns up to size 47.
Included in the download of the item Socks knitted from 6-ply yarn with tables for all sizes
- see image -:
- PDF sock-knitting pattern - illustrated step by step (22 pages) using size 32/33
- Baby sock table for 6-ply sock yarn for newborns up to shoe size 20
- Sock table for 6-ply sock yarn, children's socks up to adult shoe size 47
The course presents the principle of sock knitting and can therefore also be applied to other yarn weights, but then other table values corresponding to the yarn weight must be used
as the basis.
Tables for 4-ply sock yarn are included in this pattern:

The
preemie socks are also wonderful for using up leftovers, e.g. also
as a
keychain; this pattern
for 4-ply sock yarn is available here:

Good luck.
