Christmas crafts for and with children

Christmas is a wonderful time, especially for children—that’s when the magic of Christmas really shines through. To help support that, you can do crafts with children during the Christmas season or help children make beautiful Christmas gifts themselves. This thread is the place to share lovely patterns.

Folding boxes are among the simplest things you can make and are therefore perfect for crafting with kids.



At Christmas, you can simply make them in festive colors and you’ll have ready-made gift boxes for lots of nice little things. After that, all you need to do is decorate the boxes accordingly—you’ll find some of my suggestions in the product photos.

Many children find it hard to wait for Christmas. Coloring is a great way to keep them occupied.

These little Christmas trees are actually part of an Advent calendar, but without the inner container, they make a lovely winter decoration that even kids can easily make: just cut out the top three layers, attach them together at a single adhesive tab, and then glue them on top of each other—and your little tree is ready!
