A Slightly Different Advent Calendar
The illuminated ornaments with the 4 little snowmen will still find a place even after Advent;
they also make a lovely little Christmas gift.

Please share more suitable patterns here.
If possible, the patterns should be as simple as can be and workable with leftover yarn, etc.

For anyone who still doesn’t have an Advent calendar, really needs one, but doesn’t want to buy one, here’s a quick option:
 


Make the small folding gift boxes in Christmas colors, fill them, decorate them for Christmas, and add the numbers—and your calendar is ready. Then you can hang the boxes neatly on a cord, for example, or place them in a Christmas-decorated toy car, a decorative sled, or a prettily decorated cardboard box.
