Dear users, dear authors,
what would Advent and Christmas be without Christmas angels? Certainly not as wonderful. This thread is the place for the prettiest Christmas angels, angel pendants, angel wings, and, of course, guardian angels.

@Authors
please post thematically appropriate patterns here, including a link, image, and text with important information about the materials, technique, difficulty level, and what makes the pattern special.

Hello everyone!

Little angels are as much a part of Christmas and the Advent season as a beautiful Christmas tree, ornaments, etc... Plus, you can delight someone dear to you all year round with a pretty, handmade little angel. Whether for a birth, baptism, First Communion, confirmation, as a good wish during illness, or in times of grief, an angel like this is always a wonderful gift!Elaborately illustrated step-by-step pattern! Also perfect for beginners!Great way to use up leftover yarn, since only small amounts of yarn are needed!Legend: ch - chain stitch sc – single crochet dc – double crochet sl st – slip stitch st – stitch turning ch – turning chain stitch
tog. – crochet together inc. – increase dbl. – doubleMaterials needed:
  • Yarn/wool of your choice
  • Matching crochet hook
  • if needed, a piece of ribbon
  • Darning needle
  • a little stuffing
The rule is: The thicker the wool, the larger the little angel! The hook size should be chosen as small as possible. If using a 3 mm crochet hook and wool with a yardage of ~250m/100g, the little angels will be about 12 cm tall.
Here’s the pattern

This little angel egg cozy comes together with Santa Claus and Frosty the Snowman. It can be crocheted quickly from a few bits of leftover yarn and is absolutely suitable for beginners. Of course, you can also use it as a table decoration without eggs (in different colors it looks very cheerful) or as a hanging decoration for your gift package. You can find the pattern here:

I’ve designed a beautiful angel tablecloth.
You can also use a single angel as a tree ornament or glue it onto a card.
The pattern is in a crochet chart; if you’re not yet familiar with reading one, an explanation is included.
I hope you enjoy my little angels as much as I do!

Why always a little angel? Angel Anni measures about 35 cm when made with a size 4 crochet hook and matching yarn.

The pattern is detailed and includes many step-by-step photos.

The difficulty level is medium; the wings and dress require good crochet skills.

Every girl’s dream! A great gift under the Christmas tree or for a birthday.

Have fun crocheting, Katja

Who says angels always have to be white?

This little angel is a wonderful Christmas decoration and can be crocheted quickly from a few bits of leftover yarn.

The pattern explains step by step over 11 pages with lots of photos how to crochet the little angel. That means even beginners can quickly make this little angel — but basic crochet skills should be in place.

>>> to the pattern <<<

Required materials:
  • 16 g white cotton yarn (115 m per 50 g)
  • 1 g cotton yarn (115 m per 50 g) in a contrasting color (only for the “colorful” version)
  • Crochet hook size 3
  • some stuffing
  • pins if needed
With these materials, the little angel will be approx. 10 cm tall.

Skills needed:
  • chain stitches
  • single crochet, incl. increases/decreases
  • slip stitches
  • double crochet, incl. increases

With this pattern, you’ll get a rather different kind of guardian angel — perfect as a doll for children and the young at heart, too.
The best part: the little angel brings her little devil sister along with her.

What you’ll need:

♦ Crochet yarn of your choice in various colors, approx. 20–25 g each
♦ A crochet hook suitable for the yarn
♦ Craft stuffing
♦ Safety eyes (if desired)
♦ A sewing needle
♦ Wire (if desired) for stabilization

You should be familiar with the following: crocheting in rounds, crocheting in rows, chain stitches, single crochet, double crochet, half double crochet, color changes

And here’s the pattern:

These cute little angels even have room for a little surprise under their dresses. You don’t need
much to make them. Two crochet hooks, sizes
2.5 and 3.5
, plus some leftover yarn and decorative trims

These free little angels are quick to crochet and always make a sweet little gift during Advent. But they also look great as Christmas tree ornaments or, in bright colors, as little guardian angels.

This Christmas angel has even brought his friends along: Santa Claus and the snowman.

You’ll receive all three figures, as well as the Christmas tree, as a set. The figures are approx. 12.5 cm tall. The pattern is richly illustrated and easy for beginners to follow. It’s also a great way to use up leftover yarn.

You can find all further information, e.g. on the materials and yarn used, as well as the pattern here: Crochet Pattern: Snowman - Santa Claus - Angel - Christmas Tree
