What's your favorite material?

what material do you currently enjoy working with the most?

When it comes to yarn, definitely Bobbel, meaning gradient yarns.

There are endless possibilities for color combinations and yarn weights, which I can often order individually tailored to me. This way I also support regional craftsmanship and always receive individually unbeatable service. 

By now I’m switching my crochet hook collection over to handmade hooks.

The whole thing is a bit more expensive, but it’s worth it.

Right now, I most enjoy working with cozy winter yarn. I’m currently making a hat from thick, fluffy yarn, and I’m already looking forward to it keeping my head nice and warm soon. :-)

My favorite material for crafting is photo cardstock—this type of paper gives even larger three-dimensional objects the necessary stability, while still being very easy to cut and fold. When you bend it, it keeps the curved shape, and this property makes it possible to achieve really beautiful effects.
Photo cardstock comes in a great many colors, so there are hardly any limitations in that regard. I consider crafting with photo cardstock to be one of the most affordable hobbies—the paper itself is very inexpensive, and most households already have everything else you need for crafting anyway.

I love cotton-polyamide tubular yarn!
You can crochet such wonderful slippers with it—sturdy, soft, and durable!
And I also really like felting wool, especially for warm slippers, of course. 

I love fluffy yarns made of mohair and silk—anything that’s ultra-soft, brushed alpaca, cashmere blends... Nothing is ever soft enough for me ;-)

I love crocheting amigurumi with 100% cotton—it feels absolutely amazing to work with, and the finished product really stands out. (But I don’t mind acrylic yarn either; I usually use that when I’m making something a bit bigger.)

As for shawls, I’ve recently discovered gradient yarn cakes—they’re totally addictive!

And when I need a break from my crochet hooks, I love making decorations and gifts out of whatever I can find out in nature! (And there’s plenty of that here in the Black Forest! ;))
