Which crafter doesn’t know this? You feel like you have mountains of leftover yarn lying around at home. Far too good to throw away—often too little to use.

Luckily, there are suitable ideas for these mini amounts, too. One of them is the free pattern for the little fish! These can be crocheted with almost any type of yarn. They make lovely little residents for the toy aquarium, and they’re also wonderfully suited as keychains.

The fish are crocheted in no time. Fast crocheters can easily finish a fish in under an hour.

What you need:
♦ Leftover yarn in 2 different colors and a little black leftover yarn
♦ A crochet hook that matches the yarn
♦ Craft stuffing or similar for filling the fish
♦ Key ring or mini carabiner (if desired)

You should know the following: crocheting in rounds, crocheting in rows, chain stitches, single crochet, decreases and increases.

Hi everyone,
I make balls for my cats out of my leftover yarn—it’s really simple. Whether with or without a bell, with or without valerian—the cats don’t care if the colors match. They sit right next to me, and as soon as I put down the sewing needle after finishing, I have to throw the “ball.” I need so many because I won’t see the balls again for at least four weeks. So far, I still haven’t found my cats’ “Fort Knox,” unfortunately.
