Dear users, dear authors,
if you want a beautifully decorated Christmas tree, you can, of course, go to the store and buy Christmas tree ornaments that anyone can get. But it’s much more exciting to have Christmas tree ornaments that not everyone has—something special, something personal. That’s exactly what this thread is for; here you can find or share patterns like these. Have fun.

@Authors
Please share patterns that fit this theme here. Please include an image, a link, and text with information about the materials, difficulty level, technique, and what makes the pattern special. Good luck.

Here are the pretty little little fir trees for a big Christmas tree! They’re made from cardstock and construction paper, so they’re lightweight and unbreakable—which is especially handy if you have toddlers or cats at home.

The little fir trees measure approximately 8 x 8 x 7 cm and are very easy to make, even for a capable beginner.

Christmas Rudolf: With this pattern, anyone can quickly crochet this cute Christmas ornament shaped like a reindeer’s head. It looks beautiful on the Christmas tree, as a gift tag, or used in other Christmas decorations. The ornament is very quick and easy to make and can be crafted from any type of yarn or leftover yarn.
Have fun recreating it and decorating!https://www.crazypatterns.net/de/items/10177/weihnachstkugel-rudolf

This little white stiffened snowflake is quick to crochet and very versatile:
  • as a Christmas tree ornament
  • as a gift tag
  • as a decoration in a Christmas arrangement

You’ll need a 2.5 mm crochet hook and a small amount of Catania Fine yarn
(160 meters/50 g), and you’ll work chain stitches and single crochet. In the
6-page crochet pattern, I’ll show you step by step how it’s done.

Warm regards from Ina

With two small leftover skeins of red and white yarn, you can crochet these pretty candy canes for your Christmas tree. To shape them, I inserted a wire through the center. You can find all the details in the free pattern . I hope you enjoy making them.

Best regards—Ina

This little ornament is quick to crochet. Using a size 3.5 hook with 85 m / 50 g of yarn (school yarn, potholder yarn, 100% cotton), my bell measured 10 cm wide at the bottom and 8.5 cm tall (without the hanger and clapper). Leftover yarn can also be put to good use here .
Whether as a tree ornament indoors or outdoors, or as a small gift tag, this bell is sure to find many uses.

I started making only knitted or crocheted decorations for the tree in 2013. Some of the ornaments are just painted, but they all have lights. This year, I’m adding a few beaded angels.

Lucky Piggy—a fun Christmas ornament!

It also serves as:
  • a good-luck charm
  • a keychain
  • a bag charm
  • a small gift
The piglet is quick and easy to crochet and is well suited for beginners.

It requires very little yarn. With these cute lucky charms, your leftover
yarn will disappear in no time.

Difficulty level: easy

Size: depending on the yarn; for example:

with yarn with a yardage of 125 m / 50 g, the piglet will be about 7 cm in diameter;

with crochet thread with a yardage of 300 m / 50 g, it will be about 3.5 cm.

You’ll need:
  • yarn (leftover yarn) in your desired color and a crochet hook in a suitable size, plus a little white and black yarn for the eyes
  • stuffing
  • a blunt sewing needle and scissors
The following basic skills are required:
  • magic ring
  • crocheting in rounds
  • single crochet
  • increase
  • decrease
  • slip stitch
  • basic sewing (sewing the pieces together)

I hope you enjoy crocheting!

This little Santa Claus is a lovely decoration for trees, wreaths, gifts, and anything else you want to decorate for Christmas. What makes him special is that, thanks to the built-in clothespin in his legs, he can be attached anywhere…even on the clothesline.
