Thanks, Josefa—I wish the same for you and everyone else here, too. Yes, we have plans for Pentecost—we’re celebrating our 36th wedding anniversary on Pentecost Monday. :-))
But with the heat that’s been forecast here, we’ll be staying indoors, since neither of us can handle that kind of heat anymore.

The forecast says it’s going to be very warm. We’re planning a quick trip to go swimming at the outdoor pool, and we’ll also be doing a little gardening and spending some time reading and doing crafts.

Yesterday we went hiking to Lichtenstein Castle. It was great—lots of woods and a fantastic view.

I’m quickly taking care of a few things today—the washing machine is still spinning—but starting tomorrow I’ll be out and about; it’s absolutely perfect weather for being outside! Heavenly!
I’ll be crocheting in the evening when my feet want to kick up. Right now, LaCritza’s Mystery CAL is running on Instagram—it’s very exciting; I have absolutely no idea what it’s going to turn out to be. That thick, cozy sweater will have to wait a little longer… (but it’s my only UFO, and it’s not even that old—I’ll get to it eventually).

Happy Pentecost to everyone! We’re out on a paddling trip on the beautiful Ruhr River today and tomorrow.

Great, Inge, so we both have our wedding anniversary on the same day. That’s right. Have a lovely anniversary day.
For us, it’s our 8th wedding anniversary, but we met in 2011.

We’re making ourselves comfortable at home. The heat outside is getting to me. Plus, it’s chaotic everywhere, lots of people, bike paths full—no, I don’t need any of that.
My husband and I are going out for a nice, quiet meal on Tuesday (German cuisine or at a Greek restaurant), letting ourselves be served/pampered—that’s all we need.
Of course, crafts are a must too. I have time now, after all.

 

Wow, it’s Monday again. Right after breakfast today, we headed off to the Cilbi Market in Neuenweg (Kleines Wiesental, Baden-Württemberg). This market, with a flea market in and in front of the community hall and a Chilbi market right in the village, is held every Whit Monday and is always very busy. Since we were early, we even found an affordable parking spot; from midday on, there’s hardly any chance.
Of course, there were lovely things on offer at the flea market again, but we can’t buy anything because then we’d have to get rid of other lovely things. That’s how it is when your cupboards are full—you’d really need to hold a flea market yourself, 🤣
And there were lots of food stalls, as usual. It was a lovely morning, and the weather 🥵 was very hot.
