How did you discover Crazypatterns? What would you like to see here?

how did you discover this platform? This question is for authors and users alike.
Do you find everything you need here on the platform?

About 10 years ago, a customer in my yarn shop in Munich
told me about this site
I knew right away: THIS is for me 
since then, I’ve been writing patterns and now I’m also making instructional videos.

I’m very happy with CP ;) 
and I also find the forum interesting

About 9 years ago, I was looking for a platform where I could share my patterns.
I checked out several and ended up staying here.

A few years ago, I was looking for a platform that focused heavily on the German-speaking market (since that’s what I do with my crochet patterns, too), and that’s how I came across Crazypatterns. I feel completely at home here.

I’ve been here for about 13 years now. I joined after the birth of my first grandchild, when I was looking for patterns for baby items. At first, I bought patterns here and knitted them, then little by little I started writing up my own ideas as patterns and uploading them. That was the best decision ever. I feel very much at home here.

I was searching online for a pattern—I don’t even remember what for anymore—and stumbled upon this site. I’ve already made a few projects from the patterns here and am very satisfied. I look forward to every newsletter with new ideas.

Back when it was the Nadelclub, people—including me—were always looking for sewing and knitting patterns; you’d just click on the link and browse around. Even now that it’s Nadeltreff, people still often ask where they can find good patterns. That’s how I came to CP years ago—I ended up sticking around and found even more inspiration than before :-) and feel very at home here

A few years ago, when I got back into crafts after a long break, I was looking for a specific pattern (I don’t even remember what it was anymore), and a friend recommended CP to me—and that tip was really great.
I can find absolutely everything my heart desires here; my only wish is that it stays this way for a long time to come!

I’ve been browsing here for many years now and have already made a lot of projects from the patterns.
I’d love it if there were a way to filter saved patterns when they’re on sale. Or if the filter options were expanded so you could search for specific things, e.g. knitting – socks.

if I understand correctly, you’d like to be able to search for keywords in the watchlist and apply additional filters while doing so?

Yes, exactly. Generally speaking, you can already search for things like “knitting,” and it would be nice if you could also filter results by, say, “socks,” “scarves,” etc. That would make searching faster. It would also be nice if you could set a reminder for items you’ve saved so you’re notified when they go on sale.

The developers have added this to their to-do list. The implementation date is not yet known. 

I’ve actually been here since 2017... Back then, I was looking for patterns, mainly amigurumi, and then came across it online.
What I really love is that here you get genuine patterns, written with love and passion,
No AI-generated junk. I can buy patterns here without any worries.

Years ago, when I bought a crochet kit with a larger mouse that I crocheted, I wanted to make more amigurumi like that. But I didn’t want to buy a book or anything right away. So I looked for affordable crochet patterns for amigurumi.
And I found several websites.

Among them was Crazy Patterns. 🤩😊

This site really appealed to me because there’s something for every skill level and every budget.
Although the first patterns were from the free section, I soon started buying one or two paid patterns as well.

I’ve also built up a large collection of crochet books, crochet magazines, and, of course, patterns from Crazy Patterns.
That way, I can draw from a wealth of options whenever I want to make something.

Wow, time sure flies. I’ve been “browsing” here since 2015, have downloaded a few free patterns, but I have to admit I haven’t worked through them all. I’m pretty sure I found CP while searching for amigurumi, knitting patterns, or similar things—I can’t even remember exactly anymore. In any case, I really like CP and I always enjoy stopping by here, whether it’s for patterns or the forum—I like you guys.

Oh, and I have one more request: the ability to edit a comment after it’s been posted. Every now and then, a typo slips through that you’d like to correct :-) (it happens to me all the time).

You can use the “Preview” feature, which is located below the text input field. This allows you to correct any mistakes. 

Yeah, I always do that too and use the preview. But once a comment has been submitted—if you missed the mistake even in the preview—there’s no way to correct it. ;-)
It’s not that big of a deal, though; you just have to pay closer attention. :-)

I discovered CP while searching for crochet patterns. Using my personal account, “Carlina,” I’ve purchased and recreated many patterns. I crochet lots of items to donate to our local cat rescue; they sell the amigurumi, pot holders, and pillows at flea markets, and the proceeds go toward helping the cats. At some point, I started crocheting pot holders without a pattern, and since they were well-received, I wrote a rough pattern for myself. Next, I wrote proper patterns with photos and uploaded them to CP under this account. But even today, I’m still a CP customer and buy patterns every now and then. :)
