Yarn winder tangles the yarn

Hi,
I bought a yarn winder, but when I try to wind the yarn, the thread often comes off and I have to rewind it. Then, when I unwind it, several strands often come out together and get tangled.
How can I prevent this?

I once wrote a blog post about this. Take a look at points 5 and 7.

I think it's important to place the skein of yarn on the winder with the right tension.

And afterward, you need to arrange the skein so that all the strands lie parallel, not twisted. The strand that is to be unwound should be at the bottom.

And you need to wind evenly, not with too much momentum.
