I did a lot of crafting with napkins years ago. You can cover all kinds of things with napkins: glass, wood, stones. You just always need the right motifs. I still have a few pretty napkins, and I’m sure I’ll craft with them together with the grandkids at some point. Somehow this topic never goes out of style, or it keeps coming back around.
So I don’t overwhelm you with photos, I tried grouping the things I made by theme. Maybe there will be a few ideas here for you.
Best wishes, Ina
Napkins on wood:
a tray for the garden, a small tray for my sister, a letter box, and a wooden box that I used to give away seeds
Napkins on glass, on fabric, and on clay:
lanterns for the garden (remove the panes and cover them), lampshade, flowerpot
Napkins on stone:
small stones to weigh down napkins when grilling, large stones for the entrance area, stones for all kinds of things you want to weigh down on a windy table, a “welcome stone” for a vacation home
Napkins on wooden sticks, paper, glass, wax:
ornaments for Christmas, gift bags, on old glass jars or on candles
And my favorite: a large clear glass plate—just glue the napkin on from underneath and varnish over it.
