Inge, that doesn’t sound good… hopefully better times are ahead.
We were at my sister’s yesterday and picked up some more of the things she’s been sorting through; since she’s getting the keys to her new accessible apartment in August, she’s pretty nervous right now.
I’ll be back at her place on Monday. She just has to part with a lot of things that won’t fit in her new, smaller apartment.
But the prospect of being able to shower on her own again and leave the house by herself gives her strength.
In a little while, I’m going to plant a few more things in the flower bed. We spent a few days by the sea in Holland, and there’s a huge garden center nearby that I just can’t resist…
This afternoon we’re invited to a friend’s birthday party.
I’ve crocheted something for the occasion, as usual.
He’s an amazing grill master—the other day he served ribs that he’d cooked for hours on a bed of vegetables and potatoes.
He always keeps a roll of paper towels next to him, which he can now replace with this beer mug filled with facial tissues.
I hope he likes it.
