How much yarn did you use up this week?

Dear community,
were you able to use up a lot, or is “real” life keeping you busy apart from crafting?

Has your pile of yarn gotten any smaller?

Oh, I’m not working with any wool right now. I’ve been using an embroidery needle for the past two days.

Right now, I’m planning to make a pillow combined with this colorful fabric

Yes, I’m working through my leftover yarn. And since yesterday, I’ve been crocheting a bag that’s really using up a lot of yarn. So far, I think I’ve crocheted about 700 g over the last few days.                           

Oh, that’s going to be a big and heavy bag.

I’m curious to see it.

No, the first few were just a couple of small animals, but the bag will weigh a good 500 g when it’s finished.

I gave some chenille yarn to my daughter the other day—it’s not suitable for my arthritic hands, so it hurts when I work with it.

Have you been busy this week?

I’ve used up about 150 grams of a 500-gram skein.

I’m working on some socks for the KT, since the head of the Kindertafel has urgently requested them.

I didn’t do anything with yarn this week. 

I did some sewing this week. 

A new pillow made from old bedding, and jeans with holes were mended. 

 

An iron-on patch from our vacation at Disneyland was sewn onto the backpack





These iron-on patches aren’t available very often anymore. Most of the time there are magnets as souvenirs. 

Then I also baked plum slices and made mirabelle plums into jam. 





 

It wasn’t that much this week—150, maybe 200 g at most—since I was out and about a lot.
